Country Bears - Christmas or Standard?

There was some talk before that the bears would be doing the standard show, not the Christmas show this year. Has anyone confirmed this?

Re: Country Bears - Christmas or Standard?

I'm not sure where I read it (maybe Wishy's trip report?) but I think it be the standard show until the week before Christmas.

Re: Country Bears - Christmas or Standard?

I have never seen the Christmas show! I would really love to see it sometime, the pictures look so cute!

And of course I am a diehard fan of the original. I the Country Bears!

I hope someone knows the appropriate information for you; have you checked allearsnet.com at all? They might have some info...

That makes all kinds of NO SENSE! I mean, if you're going to change it, change it before the season, right? Because don't they have to close it down for 3 or 4 days for the changeover? Ah, well, I'm not in charge.

I've just been resigned to the fact that it's regular, and I'm actually kind of glad; it's been so long since I've seen the original show.

Uh yeah...that does seem a little silly. A lot of work for only a few days!

Re: Country Bears - Christmas or Standard?

That would be sad if they did not change it over. That is one of the things we looked foreword to seeing in past years down there at the holidays. It is just a cute little show.

Are those the bears in Frontier Land that are always there?

Re: Country Bears - Christmas or Standard?

I am probably an odd man out here, but I am actually hoping that they will not have changed it over when we first arrive because all I have seen is the Christmas show. I would like to see the original version this trip.

I've only ever seen the original version. Have they even ever updated it?

I have only seen this show once, in 1997...on our first trip. I'd love to see the Christmas version!

Re: Country Bears - Christmas or Standard?

Thinking about it, it REALLY doesn't make sense that it's the regular show! If EVERYTHING else around the world is all decked out for Christmas right now, WHY wouldn't they change THIS over? Doesn't make sense...

Re: Country Bears - Christmas or Standard?

It seems to me that the Christmas version is a tradition as well as a guest favorite. Why wouldn't they take the time to do it each year?

I'm kind of stumped on this one. It's bugging me.

Re: Country Bears - Christmas or Standard?

The last Allears Weekly e-newsletter reported CB would NOT be changed over to the Christmas show. They said WDW had not given a reason for this decision.
