Icon5 Character meeting timetable

Does anyone have the link to the website that had a spreadsheet of all the characters and where/when to meet them? I had seen it not too long ago, but I can't find it now.

Also, if I go to guest services in each of the parks, will they give me a printout of where the characters are that day?

Re: Character meeting timetable

sorryy - forgot about your other ? - each park has a paper that says what characters are where - but it isn't always complete - for instance it didnt say that aurora was in france (at epcot) - but she was! also, it didn't say specific times, just a range - but if you ask a cm in the area, they can tell you more specifically. A cm even told me to hurry to germany to see belle, and then come back to france later - where we saw aurora and snow white! LOL! So, while you can plan a little, it still has to be a "winging it" kinda thing at times! HOpe this helps!!

Re: Character meeting timetable

Thanks emamasa, that's a great link, but not the one I was looking for. This one is not an "official" site, it is just a spread sheet compilied of all the characters and where they are usually located in the parks.

Perhaps you're thinking of this:

Maybe someone else can post a newer version. Doesn't look like this one has been updated in nearly 3 years

Unofficial is the best you are going to do.

There are certain M&G areas where the times for meeting are listed in a hand-out you can only get on-site. However, many of the M&G are "random" encounters, not posted.

In any case, there is no way to plan to meet specific characters other than booking a character meal.

But I think that's part of the fun. Our first trip, we saw Donald Duck everywhere, but we couldn't find Goofy (I finally settled for a picture with the Goofy statue on the bench on MainStreet). The next trip, we ran into Goofy over-and-over, but no luck in finding Donald.

I was just looking through the kids' autograph books today. There are certain characters that we have been trying to find for three years, but only see them in the parades.

It's become an on-going scavanger hunt for us, and a source of fun.

Re: Character meeting timetable

Cavey's right. You can't rely on those timetables. Characters can appear at any time AT ANY PLACE. The spots marked on the guidemaps are just guaranteed locations where characters will be, but there are PLENTY of other places that other characters can AND WILL show up unexpectedly. I should know

And that's just another great thing about WDW. Suprises around every corner--even before YOAMD was started.

Re: Character meeting timetable

I do agree.

Last year, we were boarding the railroad by Mickeys toontown and as the train was just finished boarding, Peter Pan started came out of nowhere jumping all over the place and crowing! It was much fun to see the mischevious pan driving the conductors crazy!

The only time we've ever seen the White Rabbit for a M&G was getting off the train at ToonTown. He was so tucked away, you would only notice him from the train.

Re: Character meeting timetable

When you're in MGM, keep your eyes open around the Great Movie Ride. Lots of characters emerge from this building throughout the day.

Re: Character meeting timetable

Yes, part of the fun is to make it a sort of scavenger hunt to find certain characters.

My tip, like looking for far-off planets (you don't see the planets but the disturbances in other objects' gravitation fields), don't just look for the character costumes (there's a good chance the character is crouching down to take a pic with a child anyway). Watch the crowds of people.

And the castmembers are definitely very helpful. They're defintely not trying to make this a mystery.

....what costumes? Oh! You mean the clothes that a lot of the characters wear! But not all the characters wear clothes. Like Baloo and Pluto! They're all natural! Just be on the lookout. Characters are everywhere!
