where is the best place to buy entrance tickets

We are going this January and I was told to buy tickets before we go. Should I buy them from Disney or is there some place else

Last time, we purchased the tickets for the parks just a few days before we left directly through Disney and then picked the tickets up at the will call window when we got there.

I always purchase my tickets for the hard ticket events in advance, usually by phone and pick them up either at the park front gate or at my Disney resort. If you are staying off property, you will likely only be able to pick up your tickets at the parks. Many people purchase vacation packages which include tickets and meal plans as well as the room. Again, the majority book through Disney or a Disney provider.
There are some places that sell vouchers and single day tickets, but I don't think there's anything to be gained, the time wasted seems greater than the savings.

Welcome to MB. Buy them in advance, as they will be more expensive at the gate. I would just buy them directly from WDW.

I'd suggest buying them in advance and then picking them up at the gates. If you have them mailed to you, you forego any discount with the shipping cost.

What about annual passes? Is it possible to purchase them in advance?

Yes it is. You purchase directly through Disney and they send you a voucher to be exchanged when you arrive at your first WDW park and it is not activated until then. However, that date is now your expiration date and your renewal will come due on that date. There is a discount given for AP renewal if you renew before the expiration date.

I've shopped around. The Disney Store sells the cheapest tickets even cheaper than AAA. You can buy them right there and take them home with you. This is of course if you have a Disney Store near you!
