photopass cd

I don't know how long they have been doing this, but we bought a cd containing all of the photos taken by Disney photographers throughout the week. We decided we were going to do this the first day so everytime we saw a photographer we had them take a picture and now test track pictures can be added to your photopass. We were told that they plan to add this to all rides in which pictures are taken. The cd cost $106, but we were told they were raising the price last week to $124 I think. They can add all of your photopass cards to one cd. We got 144 pictures. We were told that they could put up to 300 on a cd, but the cm that made the cd said that if you had more they gave you the second cd for free.

I had been wondering if they were still doing the photo cd, that is good to know. I do hope they add all the rides(that you can have your picture taken) to the photopass option, that would great!

They have been doing this for a while. The cd is good value if you like most of the pics. We got one in Nov. and are really happy with it.

Yeap... That is true.
We had over 250 pictures taken, the best part was that there were SOOOOOOOOOO many family shoots, I have very few pictures of the 4 of us... it is a wonderful thing.

I am thinking about doing it again when Miss SMIG and I go in April....

I can't decide if I should buy it when we leave the park, or wait until we get home. I read that once you get home, you can order it and play with it online, adding overlays and characters, etc. I think that sounds like fun, but I would want to have all the pics in my hands when I leave the park so I won't have to wait for them! We have a few more days in FL after we leave WDW, and I'm definitely going to want to start scrapbooking while we're still on vacation!

Yes, that is what appeals to me too, the fact that the whole family is in the picture.

I would check but I think if you load the photopass card from home you can only order photos from Disney but you can add things to the photos. I have not heard that you can get the CD from home. The first CD we got they did add things when you downloaded the CD but in October they told us they no longer add to the photopass pictures due to the amount of guests that are now purchasing the CDs. I would ask before you leave the parks, I would hate for you to get home and not be able to get the CD.

Any CM that is taking pictures will give you a photopass card. Every time you get your picture taken give that photopass to the CM and they will add it to your pass. Before you leave WDW you can take your photopass and have all the pictures put on a CD. Then when you get home you can have as many of those photos printed as you want. I have had the CD made at EPCOT and at Downtown Disney. Due to the popularity of the CD I am sure there are more places where you can get the CD but I am not sure where all of those locations are.

Thanks, I definitely will ask questions first. As much as I've been looking forward to getting our pics taken all over WDW so I can take them home, print them and scrapbook them, I would NOT want to be disappointed, either!

We had our cd made at Epcot. I believe that any of the photo places can make the cd. I like the fact that we can now crop the pics and adjust them to exactly how we want them for scrapbooking. I really suggest if you are going to buy the cd to stop as much as possible when you see a photographer and have pictures taken. When we stopped we even ask that they take a group shot and individuals or pairs so that we had a variety. Of course going in the off season helps since they are not nearly as busy as summer.

We got lucky with our photopass not all of the pictures were on our first disk so we ended up getting 3 disk!!! Finally with all of the pics!!!
