Fantasmic during EMH?
I'm putting together our schedule for which parks to do on which days. The best night for us to stay to see Fantasmic happens to be on a night when they have extra magical hours at MGM.
Do you think we should try to do it on another night because the park will be too busy due to EMH? Thanks, Kathy

Re: Fantasmic during EMH?
I see you are going in May....if that is the best time for you to do it then do it because the crowds in May are not as bad as the crowds at other times.
(this is my best guess, being that I am not a fortune-teller )

Re: Fantasmic during EMH?
I would try to do it on another night. Even in May EMH can really make a difference in the crowds especially at night. Fantasmic is an awsome show that many attend so if you do attend the night of EMH I suggested heading to the amphitheatre one hour before the show to get a decent seat.

Re: Fantasmic during EMH?
I was in MGM for EMH during August (weekday) and the lines and crowds remained right up until 1 AM. Even after midnight, the lines for RnRCoaster and ToT were half hour plus. Don't try to schedule Fantasmic around the EMH, but if that night works better for you, then do it. Also, depending on the night, there could be two performances of Fantasmic which can alter your plans as well..

I was just going to ask about EMH at MGM.... is it worth it to keep a 5 yr. old up that late after a long day OR are the lines still nuts....

Re: Fantasmic during EMH?
Thanks guys for your help. I think we'll try to do Fantasmic on another night. I think regular crowds will be enough to deal with, never mind EMH.

I should mention that we have two children who are used to a schedule and go to bed at pretty much the same time every night. I've learned from experience that when we keep them up late we always end up paying for it within the next couple of days. They just don't deal well with the lack of sleep. Personally, I don't want WDW to be the place where we will have to "pay for it". For us, we will try to take advantage of the morning EMH to ride some extra rides. It sounds like there are less people in the parks for the morning EMH than for the evening EMH. We will save evening EMH for when the kids are older. Having said that, your situation might be completely different than mine. If your child is able to cope well on little sleep than maybe it is worth it to try the EMH and stay up late. You can always sleep in later the next morning. Unfortunately for me, no mater how late my kids are up at night, they always wake up around the same time in the morning. Good luck, Kathy
