I am in the middle of my park research for my August trip and have hit the wall. I have the days that the parks do morning extra magic hours, but noticed that last year in the summer each park had two morning EMHs per week. Who knows which days they were? I am planning my morning park to go with EMH at each park. This is something I never do, but have come to the decision that it will be important to take advantage of this during August. For one reason, I want to get as much touring in as possible before the crowds start and for second, I want to get as much done before the hottest part of the day as possible. I am thinking that if we do EMH at each park on it's morning day and tour till lunch, we will have everything done that requires lots of waiting when there are crowds. We will take our afternoon break at the pool or in the air condition and then start touring after dinner. WE are going to mainly hit shows and things with short queues at this time. So, who knows? I can't make my ADR's until I have that park schedule..lol

According to Mouseplanet Walt Disney World Park Update (Walt Disney World Park Update) by Mark Goldhaber on August 21, 2006, Aug 21 - Sept 3 last year were normal EMH morning hours:

M = AK
T = EP
Th = MK
Sa = MGM

And water parks both had EMH mornings every day.

hmmm maybe I was looking at the beginning of the month and just assuming it was for the entire month of August. thanks for looking for me. Plans are set then....woohoo. I can't wait till 2/28 when I can make my ADRs.

Dana, I don't know if this will help or not, but they do have July hours up on the site. I am not sure if it is safe to assume the hours will be the same for August or not. I am hoping they will post August hours soon! ( I think they should be up in Feb, which is just around the corner!)

Not that anyone can forecast anything about Disney crowds anymore - but we always use to go at the end of August Dana, and it was always really slow. Most kids are back in school by then. After Labour Day it is DEAD!

As for the EMH - sorry, I don't have an answer.

I just hope the hours come out before I can make ADR's. I would like to be able to schedule my ADR to coordinate with my park choices.

I hope it isn't crowded at all, but want to EMH anyway to avoid the hotest parts of the day. I am such a sissy when it comes to mega heat and humidity, so I would rather avoid the worse of it.

That's EXACTLY what I'm waiting for!!!!! I have a bunch of places laid out, but don't know where I will begin or end my days.

Dana, I agree..in August, will take advantage of EMH, go back to hotel midday and just sit in the pool and then back out in the late afternoon/early evening. It is gonna be HOT!!!!!!!

I'm sure you're right. They were as you remembered the 1st 1/2 of August. Then they went back to regular hours beginning Sunday Aug. 13, as crowds presumably lightened. I hope the crods ease up for you this August as well. But I'm not worried about you; you know how to beat whatever crowds there are.

aww you sweetie.....of course I do, but I like to worry about it...makes it seem more like a challenge and gives me something to plan for..lol As long at the crowds aren't anything like they were that year on easter, I can handle it. I am going to take touring plans just in case from the unoffical......they better no make me whip them out..lol
