I want evryone opinion.
MY husband and I are going to DW in Dec 2004. I want to go during the first two weeks of Dec. when is is slower and cheaper. Hubby wants to go over the holidays. Like the 23rd thru Jan. 3. I am afraid of the crowds then, but his buddy is going down then and wants us to join them and there family What do you think??? |

I would say the first 2 weeks, would be the best. All the parks and resorts are decorated for the holiday, the crowds are lighter, the rooms cheaper. The closer to Christmas the bigger the crowds.
We go every Dec. and after staying just before the holidays, we now choose to go as soon after Thanksgiving as we can. It's a great time of the year. Try to do Mickeys Christmas Party, it's a sepcial ticket event, but well worth the money.

Are you particularly close to these people your husband wants to see in Disney? If not,I would suggest telling these people that you are going to go the first two weeks and they are welcome to join you at that time;otherwise tell them sorry we can't go at the same time.

Christmas time
I don't think you can beat the first 2 weeks in Dec. You have all the Holiday decorations, shows and festivities without the huge crowds.
If you want to get the best out of the parks, the crowds can make a huge difference. If you happen to go at separate times than your friends and compare experiences, I'm sure you will be glad that you went earlier in Dec. Either way, have a great vacation! graybill

Wow, another person going in Dec of 2004. I would definetly go for the first few weeks, It's less crowed and it is value time. Less money at the resorts. Have you anymore details planned yet? Love to hear more of your plans.

Christmas
We went over Christmas 2002, Dec 21-25. It was awesome. Christmas Eve at the Magic Kingdom was the best. The crowds were very light (the economy and war looming?????). We had the best time we've ever had at Disney. I'm not sure we can top it.
