I've got an answer! If you purchase a ticket at guest relations or someplace like DQ, Cirque etc. it will be on paper. This is because the systems are only equipped with machines that print on tickets stock. Only resorts or Central Reservations cut plastic. So if you order your tickets ahead of time then they are printed on plastic. But if you get your annual pass at Guest Relations, then it will be printed on ticket stock. Its really just a matter of which places are equipped with what! I hope that makes sense to everyone else!

But you HAVE to get them from guest relations. They SEND you a plastic voucher that you exchange for the stupid paper. I even tried to exchange them at the resort but was sent to guest relations.

I know, and I'm sorry :-( but we love to help you at Guest Relations! We just aren't equipped for anything else.
