I'm afraid i'm going to get a bunch of Rotten Tomatoes lobbed at me, but i'm not a very big parade fan. I've never been much into standing around in crowds in the heat.
 However, Sandy loves them so i will also add that i am very interested in the answer to the above question.

So that would be July 17th 1955. They opened 1 day early for invited guests only. The official opening day was July 18th
The DISNEYLAND Marching Band has stepped off nearly 3,500 miles since its first parade down Main Street, U.S.A. on opening day in 1955.
