Southwest Airlines rant

Why does SW do this to me? Seems like when I need a flight they post a schedule until about a month before I need to go. Then, like now, they wait forever to put out the next month or two! Need tickets on May 31 and it seems like forever since they introduced the current schedule that ends May 10th.

OK, rant is over. I know it is their system and maybe it keeps the fares low so I can afford to go.

Quite all right! I hate that they don't post their fares as far in advance as I would like. They should be out soon!!

Not that it has anything to do with this but, did you ever watch their TV show? I think that show was a mistake for them. Granted, most folks deserve the treatment they get but that show has really made SW look bad.

^Yes, they sure do.

Unfortunately, Spirit doesn't fly everywhere or that would be my exclusive airline. They have the best deals and I've never had one problem, other than a cancelled flight that was beyond their control. I'll be flying Spirit to AC, NJ tomorrow, actually.

I called the other day about booking a group to Orlando on June 5th and the woman said that they are hoping that the schedule will be out either this week or next week. So maybe they will do something soon!

We have been trying to book our May 17th flights with them forever. When we called the other day to ask when the schedule would be out, the woman told me that was the "million dollar question", and that they have had a ton of phone calls about it. Also, my relative is a travel agent and said it is unusual as almost all other airlines have these dates released.

We are getting frustrated too! It seems like we have been waiting forever to book our May 18th flight. Everyday I check to see if they have released those dates, and it's always a let down when you still see "only accepting reservations until May 10th." Hopefully it opens up soon!!

My friend and her family, whom I'm meeting at Disney in May, have been waiting for SW fares for a couple months now. Most airlines go by the 6-months rule. Obviously, not SW.

No, out of Buffalo, about 1.5 hours away - about half the price of flying out of Pearson!

Same thing happened last year. I was waiting for June flights and they didn't release them until the 3rd week in Feb.
