I am not sure if I should do this this way or not but here is a possible thought.

I want to get a room for just one night at one of the resorts that have the monorail . I thought if our flight arrives early in the day , we can go to the pool and take a good nap. get up and go get dinner out of the park and head to MVMCP and when its over hop on the monorail back to our room. the next day have our things transfered to POR were we will stay for a week. thats when our hoppers and dining plan kick in

My question is what time can you get into the park with out a park pass and just the special ticket admission ?

We have 4 kid so I thought that having a monorail that late at night would be nice instead of bus hopping at 11pm!

I was going to stay someplace else for less money but I like having all my stuff transfered. Plus I want to stay at a deluxe for a night my 10 year old son wants to stay at the GF that was odd but I like his thinking. last time we stayted at WL and it was great we will see.

You can enter the park on your MVMCP ticket at 4pm, at which point you will receive your party wristband. We were there last year for the party and already in the park but they started giving out the wristbands at 4pm and that's when other party people started entering the park.

ditto what everyone else said..but that's a good idea!
I sure can't afford a week at a monorail resort..but maybe ONE night..that'd be awesome!

So you can get in the park just on your party ticket? I did not know that, I thought you had to have a park ticket too?

just after 4...usually the park closes at like 6 on a party night so it's not really that much time..but it's still counts!

I know I thought it could be long day if we did any park and then did the MVMCP as well that night with young kids. Thats why I thought if I come a day early stay in a deluxe resort to avoid a LLLOOOONNNGGG commute to our resort it maybe worth it. they can get some rest at our resort and have dinner and then hop on over at 5pm to enjoy the first night there. WHat a way to start a trip out.

I don't think the resort transfer would be bad because we can live out of our carry on bag the first day anyhow. I guess we would check out and then have them move our things while we are someplace, then just head over to POR and check in . Does not seem to complicated maybe I am wrong ?

Sounds like a wonderful idea. Especially if you're going to stay to the end of the party, a monorail resort is a great benefit when you have tired kids. Have a great time!

Why don't you ask them if they can transfer your big bags right to Port Orleans when you get there?

If you d othat let us know how it worked for you! I see your going around the same time as myself. My son wants to stay at GF he is 11 and that took me by surprise, guess he has good taste . I called today just to see what the price would be @ GF or POLY we are looking close to 500.00 for that night BUT if I break it down over the next few months its not so bad (LOL)about 50.00 a month sounds so much better. this may be a move I make and ust forget to mention;).

The idea seems so much more relaxing to do it this way then have such a crazy day of a regular park plus this event as well. I think my sanity may just be worth close to 500.00 and to top it off I am not telling the kids this until the time comes or they will hound me from now until 5pm on 12/18/07 as to when we can go!
I would send my bags to POR but I have the kind of luck that would make me need the bag when I am at the other resort. it is a good idea though thanks
