Fireworks at Magic Kingdom

We are heading to Disney for our first time in March. We are taking our two children who will be almost 3 and almost 2 at the time. I have tried to make reservations for the dining with Cinderella at Magic Kingdom and the only time they have left is 8:10pm. That night the park is opened until 9pm. So my questions is whether or not if we go to dinner this late we will still be able to see the fireworks? Im not sure what time they usually start but we really dont want to miss them. Any advice is greatly apreciated! Thank you!

I'm pretty sure Wishes will be at 8:00, but you can call them to make sure and they will let you know.

Re: Fireworks at Magic Kingdom

Check the calander on the WDW page for the date you plan to eat there. When you click the link for the actual date, you're taken to a detail page with the parade and fireworks times. If MK closes at 9, then almost always, Wishes will be at 9. People have said they've seen the fireworks from inside the castle, but I can't imagine it's the best viewing place.
After looking at the March calander, I see that only March 6th will see MK closing at 9 PM. I am seeing a lot of 10 PM and 11 PM closings. When closing at 10, Wishes will be at 9 with the second SpectroMagic Parade at 10. It looks like most nights in March, Wishes will be at 9 PM.
If you just don't get to see Wishes, download my video. The thread with the links is stickied at the top of the Theme Park forum page.

Welcome To MouseBuzz !!! First of all, are your 2 & 3 year old going to be "alert" at that time of the night. Eating in the castle is one of our favorites, a a pure magical experience. However, be known that the Princesse's are not there at dinner time. I am not sure if that matters to you or not. CRT is a very hard reservation to get, you can make ADR 180 (+10) days ahead of time, and people do. If you just want dinner at the castle (at that time) I think you are going to miss Wishes. You can get lucky by popping over there earlier in the day to see if there were any cancellations. If you are flexible, I'm sure you can get to eat there and see wishes. Enjoy your trip.

Re: Fireworks at Magic Kingdom

If you are more interested in having the dinner with the princesses, I would suggest looking into EPCOT Norway. My daughter and I did this for breakfast and saw at least 5 or 6 princesses (no cinderella) but it was great.

I don't know how long you are at Disney, but you could always catch the bus over to MK the day you to another park (like Animal Kingdom) that closes earlier.
