Moms-only September plans have been made!

My friend and I got together today and made our plans for our Moms-only trip in September. We both belong to the Mothers of Pre-Schoolers (MOPS) group, and their annual convention is in Orlando this year. (Would I be going if it were in Salt Lake City or Portland or Nashville? NO!

Not that there's anything wrong with those cities...they just don't have WDW!)

Our barbershop-singing husbands had a chorus retreat this weekend, so we figured we deserved a bit of a girls-day-out after they got home. We got together at Borders this afternoon, and I went armed with my Passporter and all of my park maps from our January trip. Here's what we came up with:

Wednesday, September 19th: arrive in the evening. Check into OKW and hit Pleasure Island! (I've never been there. It really hit me as we made these plans that this is definitely a MOMS-ONLY TRIP!

)

Thursday: breakfast at Boma, then split the day between Animal Kingdom and Magic Kingdom, hitting the highlights: EE, Kali, Safari, FoLK, Nemo; Potc, Space & Splash, JC, Phil. Conference begins at 7 p.m.

Friday: conference all day, MNSSHP at night!

Saturday: conference until 11 p.m.

Sunday: check out of OKW, spend a leisurely day at Epcot, including lunch at Le Cellier and a possible dinner at Biergarten, take a late flight home.

I'm so excited! Now that we've made our plans and we're getting close to the time that I can call for the ADRs, it seems almost real! Just have to keep watching for a great deal on the flight. We can book $99 each way, but I just know a better deal will come along!

oh yea! I love that you are getting this mom's only trip. I love the plans that you guys came up with too...sounds like tons of fun. If you plan on holding out for the airfare, wait until memorial day. They run GREAT airfares sales that weekend. I got great deals for my october trip last year when I bought them then.

That is so good to know! I'll pass it along to my friend; she really wants to book now, but I keep telling her to hold out!

Tell her to wait till memorial day...great rates. I got $79 one way from AC flying spirit. USairs usually runs comparable prices to spirit and they always runs speicals at the same time. Go directly to the airlines websites and go under flight promotions...never go from the home page..the rates are different.

Yep, whoever came up with the idea for a Moms convention in Orlando was really thinkin'!
