Icon9 Length of stay passes?

Does anyone know if they still offer length of stay passes? My family and I wanted to stay for 12 days this time since we are driving instead of flying. I was told that I can only get passes for 10 days. I would have to purchase a two day pass to fill out our stay. Now the 10 day pass is $314. The two day pass is $241. Suddenly, we are being penalized for staying in their resort and going to their parks longer. Instead of $30/day, the tickets now become$46/day. This just doesn't make sense. When I questioned Disney, they told me that they still offer length of stay passes to guests who live in different countries because they generally stay longer. This is completely unfair.
Any ideas? or has anyone else come across this problem. What a shame, I really wanted to stay longer.

Re: Length of stay passes?

That seems crazy! I would call back and talk with a different CM!

Sorry, I heard they did away with Length of Stay passes, too. Magic Your Way is their ticket now. Call a different CM to see what they say.

Re: Length of stay passes?

It's true, take it from this CM, no more length of stay passes. Have you looked at how much an AP would cost?

Re: Length of stay passes?

If you're going to be at WDW for 12 days, I'd really suggest you consider an annual pass, or better, if the timing works, a seasonal pass. I know if you expense out every day at $60, the AP pays for itself. A one day ticket is now $65 without being able to park hop. Even at $30x12 that equals $360. A 365 day no-black out parks only AP costs $434 for each adult and is good for one year from your initial activation. A premium AP which includes the water parks, Disney Quest, and Pleasure Island is $559. Kids under 10 passes are $382 and $493. If somehow you can show florida residency, you can get a seasonal pass that is good except during Easter week, Christmas week, and the summer from mid-June to Mid-August and is only $223 and $197 adults/kids. More in my next post.

Re: Length of stay passes?

It's true, there are no longer length of stay passes. We take 10 plus day trips and get a 10 day MYW passes and plan a couple of water park/Downtown Disney days so we can get by on the 10 day pass.

Re: Length of stay passes?

The Disney website has a basic 10 day MYW ticket as $216 and the extra 2 days as $132. This adds up to $348. If you make the 10 day tickets hoppers and add waterparks and more, the 10 day costs $294, add on the two day basic and it's $426, but you won't be able to hop on either the last two days or first two days. If they'll let you buy two 6 day tickets, that might work, but water parks and hoppers make 6 days almost as much as 10 days. $287 for each 6 days or a total of $574.
as I keep doing the math, it looks like if you want 12 days hoppers with water parks, it's going to cost you $560 or there abouts, no matter what. I'd get the annual pass and either skip the water parks or pay ala carte if you do go. The downside on that is, for water parks and Disney Quest, a family of 4 with two children over 10 will still cost you $120 for the day. But here comes the monkey wrench, if you want the dining plan, you're going to have to buy at the least a one day ticket for everyone in the family, but you can use the MYW tickets as credit towards an AP. Sorry, this looks like you don't have a good option here.

Re: Length of stay passes?

If I were you, I'd get a 10 Day MYW Plus Water Parks and More ticket. This way, you have 10 days to HOP at the Theme parks. Then you have 2 days where you can use your PLUS options. It's only $45 to add the PLUS options onto a 10 day ticket.

That's what we usually do. I think this year we are only going to have one day for water parks so I think we are just going to get a one day waterpark pass and save a few dollars.

This was my exact suggestion (good minds and all that..lol). You should definately get the 10day MYW plus ticket and do just what Iluvwdw suggested and what DT usually does. 10 days in the WDW parks are more than enough. Take a day to do a water park and a day to play at DTD and maybe to disney quest.

Re: Length of stay passes?

Since you are driving, you could always do SeaWorld, Universal or Kennedy Space Center too. Your options are wide open!
