Crowds/Weather in August&Sept

Hi Everyone!
Does anyone have information as to the crowds for either August or September? Also, I'm assuming it's very hot during this time. Is there any difference between Aug and Sept as far as the heat goes? Any help

would be appreciated!

We were there in August '06. Of course it was hot, but manageable. The crowds were not too bad.....It was the first time we were there in Aug. and we had some initial hesitations (though we had been encouraged by other family members that Aug. was a good time to go), so off we went! Really, we were pleased with our trip. We just tried to pace ourselves with the heat. There are usually summer storms that will cool things off and thin the crowds. We had a great rate with AAA with our on-site room. All in all - very happy with our trip.

We are going this Aug/Sept and I anticipate that it will be hot and wet. Not ideal but you go to WDW whenever you can.

I've done both. We did September first, and the place was empty. Walk on many rides, with a wait no more than 10 minutes at most. It was hot, but very managable. Our last trip was in August. I thought there wouldn't be too much of a difference, but there was. August seemed so much more humid. Everything was sticky within minutes of walking outside. It was very crowded also. To the point that the kids voiced their opinions they would rather not go if we choose August again. Now, I'm assuming it wouldn't of been as bad had we not gotten spoiled by going in September first. So, if you are choosing, September - hands down!

We went in August twice, the only problem we found was it seemed to always rain in the afternoon atleast 2 or 3 days during our week. But crowds were fine, most everything we got right on.

August 31st is much hotter than September 1st

Just kidding, of course... If school is not an issue, September is better for both crowds and weather.

The last part of September is way better than the first part of August. I live in Florida, there is a huge difference when it comes to the weather. The crowd levels at Disney are so much more better during the last half of September as well.

I wouldn't let the rain thing be a deterrent. Summer rain is the norm every afternoon at that time of year. Just plan for the deluge in the afternoon and work around it. Carry your umbrella/poncho and keep going. It actually feels good to have the rain cool it down in the afternoon. It also reduces the park crowds too! And it doesn't last long either.

After the first 2 weeks of August, you can expect park attendance to drop as the southern schools go back in August.

We have been twice in August, and it was pretty hot, but bearable, and we've been once in September. It was a little more crowded in August, too--we had practically no wait time in September! If I had a choice of August or September, I would pick September.

I would go with September, but was there in early May - hadn't rained in 60 days and it was unbearable in the high 90's every day - so you never know - crowds aren't too bad end of August, but better in September

Dana dear we can not see your colors.

I have to say with free dining these past two years it has increased attendance dramatically. We have been the past 3 years in Sept, and it just keeps getting busier and busier. Everyone wants that free dining.

6's and 5's for my August trip. I'll take it!

I've been at the end of August into Labor Day before and we were PLEASANTLY surprised with the lack of crowds!!! Even Labor Day weekend was VERY manageable!!!!!! Of course, it was HOT. We are going at the same time this August and plan to take FULL advantage of the pool and water parks!!!

I like the last weekend of September and here is why:

1. Still in value season. Great room discounts for us passholders.
2. Food and Wine Festival starts that weekend.
3. MNSSHP.
4. Free dining on the DDP ends the week before.
5. Low crowd levels.
6. The weather is nice. (Barring any hurricanes)
7. Schools are in session worldwide.
