My most recent day at WDW

I guess this will probably be moved to a different forum in a day, but this stuff is relevent here, so I post.
March 30 was the first day of passholder previews for the new Monsters Inc attraction. Gail thought there would be a special pin, so I was Ok'd for a solo day trip as she had to work. Up before the sun so I could be on the road by 6:30. Well, more like 7:20 by the time I left McDonald's. Shortly after 10 AM I was parked in walking distance to the TTC. The monorails were jammed, so I decided to take the ferry, not sure if it was any faster. The crowd at the gate was huge, as big as I've seen it, but I've got some fast passes left, so I'm not worried. Straight to Tomorrowland, show the CM my AP and I'm quickly inside the preshow area. I was a little let down, I wouldn't have made the trip just for this, but I did. Well, I have ambitious plans, places to go and people to meet. I head on to Space Mountain with a fast pass. Now, time to hoof over to Big Thunder by way of the Tiki Room. On to Big Thunder and another fast pass. Chastmatr and Cub were at WDW that weekend, so we touched base and made plans to meet up when they arrived in MK. I had to stop at Town Hall because I had presents for two intern CMs there. I won't go into why, but they were deserving. By the time i tracked them down, Chast and Cub had arrived, and just as I was walking out of Town Hall. We talked for a while, but I was on my way to AK to meet up with Rowdy before he had to check in and ride the two coasters. Perfect timing again, my phone rings as I get off the bus and we meet just outside the AK turnstiles.
HORROR!! I've lost my annual pass! Well not real horror, Rowdy got me in so we wouldn't waste time and the CM at the turnstile gave me a comp ticket so I could hop in and out of parks. So we walked into the African village where he turned left for backstage and I turned right for Everest. The single rider line was open and fast passes were used up, so I ran to Primevel Whirl to grad a fast pass and back to Everest. About 25 minutes later, I was riding. Back to PW and the CM let me on even though I still had 10 minutes before the fast pass was active. It's starting to spritz a little, but I soldier on to MGM, stopping at AK guest services so I can replace my lost annual pass. At MGM I hoof back to Lights, Motors, Action so I can give a copy of my DVD to the show director. Well, I wound up in the driver's break/exercise/locker room with one of the stunt co-ordinators, glad I didn't want to watch the show, I think it rained at show time. Now I head to the thrill zone, the coaster has a 40 or 50 minute wait and my fast pass wasn't active until 6 and it wasn't even 5. I had fast passes for ToT, so away I went, no dream team this time. I should have bought the picture, I was the only one who bothered to raise their arms. Time to move on to another park. I take the bus to Epcot, it's probably faster than the boat and better if you are going to Future World. I still have some fast passes for Soarin' so, off I go. Even with the FP it was a while. I took time for a snack and cappucino at Sunshine Seasons before returning to MK, thinking I'll be on the road by 8. As I leave The Land, it's obvious I've missed a bit of a downpour, glad I was inside. I head for the monorail. I figured I'd go by The Laugh Floor one more time beofre going home. On the MK monorail, I somehow got myself into a conversation with a family who didn't quite know what was what. I played nice guy and took them into The Laugh Floor with me, using my AP to bypass the crowd that finally had built up. (AP holders could bring along 3 non passholder guests). Laugh floor seemed funnier this time than in the morning, although many of the jokes were the same. It was now getting towards 7:30 and the wife and child were going to watch SpectroMagic while dad wanted to ride Big Thunder. I gave him my big Thunder FP, becuase I knew he'd never be back in time to meet his family for Wishes. By this time, I had aquired a stack of non-ride specific, non-time specific FPs from one of the Town Hall CMs who I'd earlier gifted (not that it was expected), so I joined dad on Big Thunder. I got him back to his family and said good bye to the strangers. I then noticed that Chastmastr had called to tell me he and Cub were at Crystal Palace having dinner for Cub's birthday. I stopped in, thinking I'd just briefly again say happy birthday and my good byes and be on my way. Well, I stayed straight through to time for Wishes, which I had to go outside to watch, the guys stayed inside (why?). So, we're wrapping up our hectic day in WDW. I caught the monorail for the TTC and walked back to the car. Hey, I'm hungry! Guess I'll stop at Wendy's in The Loop on my way back to the turnpike. The trip home took a while, cause I was wiped out and had to stop and rest a couple times, plus I was getting wicked leg cramps all the way home too.
And in case I didn't mention this, this was the first time I made it to all 4 parks in one day.

Wow!

What's that saying? He who travels fastest, travels alone?

Sounds like a you had a very busy day and it was too cool of you to help out that family! I'm sure they appreciated it! Glad you got to meet up with the Davids and Rowdy, too!

Thanks for the report. (just reading it tired me out).

There was no pin.

I'm done taping, unless I can't resist trying to get better video globe footage and shooting from Italy in 16:9, which I never have. No, no more taping unless Disney rolls out another new show or I get an HD camcorder. (Not till the prices drop below $900 or I double my income).
Cub, it's pretty obvious I enjoyed meeting you guys. I was on my way out of the park when I stopped to say good bye and stayed for an hour. It's Eeyore's fault.
I don't think I recovered until Sunday. Bloody 23 hour day.

Re: My most recent day at WDW

Technically, it's a trip report, but I'm guessing Mickey might let it stay here a little longer. I'll say this, as I passed Yeehaw Junction, I was starting to wish I had stayed overnight somewhere.
