November HOURS are HERE!!!

Well, mostly. Still waiting on Epcot.

Does anyone else not believe them? No way is MK closing at 8:00 during Thanksgiving week. They'll end up increasing by 2 and 3 hours. Why do they do this to me? I was so looking forward to finishing my plans and making my ADR's.

Oh well, cheers.

Re: November HOURS are HERE!!!

I will be there Thanksgiving week also & haven't looked at the hours yet or thought about ADRs. I find it strange that the parks would close so early ESPECIALLY since they aren't even having ONE Very Merry Christmas Party that week!!!!

Re: November HOURS are HERE!!!

I've watched Thanksgiving week hours closely for 5 years. Seems they alway come out similar to this, then "there are lots of people coming that week. We better increase the hours!" Well, why don't they just start off planning the hours like they were the year before? We know it's not getting less crowded!

So don't worry Wish, MK will be open until 11:00 or 12:00, with 2 Spectromagics most every night. That's why they never have MVMCP during Thanksgiving week -- gotta keep the park open to the masses.

MGM will be open until 9:00 or later with 2 Fantasmics some nights. Epcot will close at 9:30 beginning the day after Thanksgiving.

I just wish they'd correct it soon. But no worries, at least we can see the EMH dates. IIRC, they appear to be the same as October's. No surprise there.

I don't think the EMH schedule for October has changed in 4 years. And I'd be tempted to say all the park hours are the same.

Re: November HOURS are HERE!!!

I am not much of a park commando anyway. I'd rather spend my evenings at the resort pool or relaxing in DtD, etc. but I like to know I have to option to be in the parks later.

I've never been Thanksgiving week so I am starting to get a little nervous about this, we were there on "Black Friday" last year and it was actually SLOWER than I would have expected.

Re: November HOURS are HERE!!!

I plan on being there the week of Thanksgiving as well! By that time the Osbourne Spectical of Lights should be up and running. My family is letting my brother's friend come with us, which is great because he has NEVER EVER been to Disney World. Needless to say that he is really super excited!!!!

As far as the park hours, if memory serves me correctly, I remember the parks being opened later than 8 o'clock, especially MK!

Re: November HOURS are HERE!!!

Update: Hadn't checked back on November park hours until this morning. Wow! Looks like all parks except MGM have been updated for Thanksgiving week. MK until midnight or 1 a.m. all week. Thursday and Friday are 8:00 a.m. openings. AK from 8:00 a.m. until 8:00 p.m. all week. If memory serves correctly, those are even longer Thanksgiving week hours than previous years. Glad someone at Disney again realized it may be crowded that week.

So now our 8:00 a.m. Crystal Palace adr on Friday doesn't get us finished before park opening. Who knew? Oh well, no complaints. WE'RE GOING TO DISNEY!!!!
