Mnsshp

I just need a few details on this subject. Can you still ride the rides inside MK? Exactly what goes on?

yes , all the rides are open, cast members are dressed up giving out candy all over the park, and there is the parade which is halloween themed, it is a really fun time.

Re: Mnsshp

How many tickets does Disney allow to be sold? I am thinking of Sept. 14, but don't want to go if I will be fighting a crowd all night.

Re: Mnsshp

I think they limit to 30,000. I think capacity for MK is something like 70,000 and you don't really see that except between Christmas and New Year's. That's going to be the first of the year, but it shouldn't be too bad. The October parties usually later in the month are quicker to sell out.
There is also a special halloween themed fireworks show. The park is open until about 12:30 and after 10, you should be able to walk onto almost any rides.

Re: Mnsshp

As Soundgod said the park is open late and the rides are open as usual. My best suggestion would be to make an early ADR around 5pm or 6pm for dinner at one of restaurants and get in early. You can usually get in around 4pm, especially with a dinner ADR for the party which usually dosen't start until 7pm.

When we were there in mid Sept. at the same time you are planning to go, we got to the park around 4pm, rode for about 2 hrs before our 6pm ADR at Tony's. We walked right on most of the rides because most of the people who were at the parks all day were leaving and the people who had MNSSHP tickets, weren't even there yet! It was great by the time we got done with dinner, everyone was now coming in for the party. We were able to spend more time enjoying the special events like the dance party and parade and villian shows because we already rode the rides we wanted to.

Heres a photo of the castle that shows how empty the park was when we arrived at 4pm.

Whatever you do...get your ADR early before they book up and have fun!

Re: Mnsshp

Yep, as others have said, the park is not very crowded. You can get in as early as 4:00 most rides are open and getting dressed up is a lot of fun.

They give you bags to collect candy at appointed places throughout the park.

Do not miss Hallowishes or the parade. You can also meet characters that don't appear too often especially villians. The headless horseman is really cool.

You are going to have an amazing time.

Re: Mnsshp

WEll it depends what night you go on crowd wise. The closer you get to Halloween, the more crowded it is. Halloween night is CRAZY as is the night before. It was fun regardless. All the of the rides are open and they have all kinda of cool stuff going on there. There is trick or treating through out the park, characters in their halloween costumes for meet and greets, a dance party as cosmic rays, a cool parade...special wishes fireworks called Hallowishes. That event is worth every cent you pay in my opinion. I won't be going at halloween this year, but if I was, I wouldn't even think of missing that party.

Re: Mnsshp

mikeymotto, when did you take that picture? Sept 15, 2006? If so, amazing. The magic mirror disappeared some time that next week. It was gone by the next Friday. They were also painting the towers a deeper blue.

Follow this link to a picture from Tuesday the next week.

Possibly Thursday
http://www.mousebuzz.com/forum/trip-...-report-6.html
In the second picture you can see some of the tower roofs are now a deeper blue

Your amazing! That is "EXACTLY" the day I took ths photo!

It was a great evening...except for the rain we got later that night which delayed the parade. But it was well worth the wait!
