More to Toon Town?

Is it just me, or is there more to Toon Town in DL than in the MK?

Look at this video from 1994. It seems to me, I want to go and have fun there

YouTube - Disneyland Anaheim 1994 - Mickey's Toontown

ok, I had nothing better to do than look at a German Disney forum and there was this trip report full of video clips...nothing going on here on the weekends

Re: More to Toon Town?

Toontown in DL is much bigger, although I'm not sure there are more attractions. They do have a Roger Rabbit ride that isn't in WDW and Gadget's Go Coaster which is similar to Barnstormer.

Since I am not fond of Toontown at MK, I am not really familiar with it other than the obvious - Mickey's house, Donald's boat, etc.
We skip it when at MK.

But the one at DL, I would explore, at least once

Re: More to Toon Town?

I wish Mickey's Toontown Fair would get some more attention. A mickey-themed dark ride would be a great addition to the area!

Gadget's existence is acknowledged in the parks? Wow! (Gadget being, I assume, the mouse-girl inventor from Chip and Dale's Rescue Rangers.)

Thank heavens! I'd feared she'd retroactively ceased to exist in Infinite Crisis.

I wish that the Rescue Rangers dark ride is great to rescue Mickey Mouse from the cluches of Evil Fat Cat.

Re: More to Toon Town?

Interesting topic, I actually have several opinions about this myself (big surprise ). I LOVE Toon Town in DL but really don't like it in WDW. I feel like you walk into Toon Town in Disneyland and you actually FEEL LIKE you are in a "town." I love the hilly backdrops, the fountains, and all of the "bells and whistles" on the building facades. ALSO, I feel like Toon Town in DL can be equally enjoyed by adults as well as children. WDW's toon town doesn't have a lot of appeal to me besides meeting characters 'cause I would NEVER ride Goofy's Barnstormer & the atmosphere is more "kiddy." DL Toon Town Spin is a BLAST for adults too!!!

Come on, this is MUCH cooler! Plus, you can meet STEAMBOAT MICKEY there!

Yeah...what Wish said....and DL's Toon Town also has neat little interactive things. Doors to pull, buttons to press and dynamite plungers to push:)

Totally agree... we were surprised at how much more the kids enjoyed DL toon town last year..than WDW toon town!
