Park crowd update!!!

A friend of mine just got back from the parks, and she reports the crowds were super busy, and that at one point the wait time for Splash Mountain was over 2 hours!! Aye Carumba!!

why do people get into a line that has a two hour wait.. i've never understood that.. maybe it's because we always go in the off times and there are never 2 hour waits, but i go find something else if i see the wait might be an hour..

I think people wait in those lines because the fast passes go so quickly they have no choice. I know in early June we saw lines as long as 120 minutes. The fast passes were either completely distributed OR they were for really late at night.

Oh don't worry! I am sure you will be fine. I think its the people who get to the parks late, don't have a plan, that sort of thing.

It's a normal for peak times. Not a matter of improper planning, timing, etc. The FP go quickly and sometimes are just as long as the regular line.

You get in those long lines if that's your only option. Some families don't have the leisure of taking vacations in the off season when the waits are 10 and 20 minutes. I've spent about 2 hours in lines for SpM and BT EACH a few years back. It sucks but you make the most of it.

when we first started to go we alwyas went in June and july sometimes august it was routine for a wait to be 2 hours last jUne when we went they were not quite that bad. Im curious to see how they are in september when we are there this year.

I am so thankful that we only go during off peak seasons...I have no patience to stand on those lines.

We just got back this past Sunday. Lines were long and boy was it HOT! We still had a good time, might have to consider another time of the year next time, but when you have a child in school and you also work in the school system, it's hard to go any other time. The schools in our county frown upon you taking a child out of school for a vacation.
Back to the question, it was really crowded and lines were long. The first weekend we were their it was great, but by the next week and weekend it was BUSY! Still had a good time and wish I was still their.

I am glad we are able to go during the off season. I don't think my husband would ever go back if he wait in a 2 hour line.

Well that is good to know! As long as you had a good time. I still think if you are prepared, its going to be better for you, crowds or no crowds!

the only reason why i would like to go when it was hot would be to go to the water parks.. i have a really hard time in crowds and i get too hot headed too quickly.. for some reason, people just get so stupid on vacation and in crowds, and i hate when i see people think it's okay to loose all sense of decency and manners just because it's "their big vacation." i'm sure ya'll know what i mean.. anyway, i think the only way for me would have to be to yank my girl out of school and go at an off time. the school she just got into starts from 2 yrs old and goes to highschool and they better be okay with it considering how much i'm paying for her to go there.
