Like a previous poster, the first thing we do is head to Beaches & Cream, at the Beach Club, for those great cheese burgers. Then our first ride is at Magic Kingdom. Do we first go on Space Mountain? Splash Mountain? Or, how about Big Thunder Mountain Railroad? Nope. Our first ride is JUNGLE CRUISE! It's a classic and it always has us laughing to put us in the right frame of mind. :p :D

We always have to make MK our first park of the visit & the last. As far as first ride it depends...if CoP is open, that's it hands down. Otherwise it's Dumbo (for my soon to be 18-yr-old!!!) or Space Mountain or Buzz!!! Just waaaaay too many to pick from!

This year, we will spend our 1st day sailing & hanging around the pool. We did the same thing last year. It was wonderful. What a great, relaxing way to start your vacation. besides, we are so messed up from jet lag & time difference. :nothing:

We'll probably try to get the ones like Peter Pan and Winnie the Pooh done pretty quickly, we stayed in lines hours for those two last trip because FP were all out, and we just had to ride them. I don't know if that's usual or not.

At Epcot it's Space Ship Earth, I love that and it's DD favorite.

At MGM, we seem to always mess up here, we never time things right. The ToT was long long lines, and I was a bit afraid to try it, so we ended up going over to Beauty and the Beast, which wasn't preforming that day, so we tried for Little Mermaid, waited a while, then went to the Great Movie Ride. I definately need tips on how to do this park. We backtracked so much it was awful. Which reminds me, is there a thread of a plan for each park, that saves you the most time?

At AK, went straight for Kilimanjaro Safaris, rode it twice in a row.

I realize, I need to plan better
Goofette, you should buy The Unnoficial Guide to Walt Disney World by Bob Sehlinger. It has comprehensive touring plans for all the parks, and is chock-full of great information about all the things you need to know to make your Disney vacation the best. I highly recommend this book.

What ride to you go to when you first arrive at WDW?

Hands down, it's gotta be MK and the Haunted Mansion. No self respecting Disney fan would go to any other park first or go on any other ride first.

What are you all thinking about?

Infidels!!!;)

Usually hit the MK first and go straight for either peter pan or snow white. I don't know, but I think those rides make me really believe that I'm in disney!!!! Plus they are classic rides and some of my favorites when I was a kid. Brings back so many memories:D

I was woundering if anyone else has a ride they must ride first when they arrive at WDW?

Generally, I do exactly the same thing you do.....but, I'm willing to bend it this time to be either Space Mountain or the TTA.

By far it has to be Magic Kingdom's Haunted Mansion. I know it sound corny but it just starts the whole trip off right. The next favorite to ride first would be the rock and roll rollercoaster.
