Why the big uproar over a Meet and Greet with Tinkerbell? It is well overdue and would prove very popular. Yet, the argument is always that Tinkerbell is a Fairy??!!!?? Mickey, Jiminey Cricket, Stitch, Gus, Flik, the Pixar Rats, and many other small Characters are life size in Disney and no one is bothered by it. Why Tinkerbell? Sure, she can fly, but Pluto walks upright, Ariel is fixed on a rock, and Nemo rides around the park on wheels. lol Tinkerbell can be flightless and none the worse for it.

Granted, a queue that appears as if you are shrinking down to Tinkerbell size could be cool, but is it really such a huge concern that she has never been in a meet and greet to date?

I just don't like this whole thing....tinkerbell is not suppose to be seen in human size. It's just wrong.... She's a fairy ...it's a myth thing..no magic to actually meeting her..I think it's WRONG!

My DD is obsessed with Tinkerbell right now. She would love it, but even at 3 she tells us that Tink is very small. She gets upset when her doll is missing her wings. It would be interesting to see how they did it, but it would be hard to explain how she got so big.

All I'm asking for is consistency. If it's wrong for her, it is wrong for so many of the other characters. Green Army men for example.

She is Magic, but to me, that's all the more reason she could be life size.

At any rate, it is being discussed about bringing her to the parks again. One other down side I had not thought about... she would be a face character who could not speak. hmmmmm

I just can't get over it....she is the one character who has remained a mystery after all these years. It just seems wrong some how to finally bring her into the parks. It seems almost desperate some how to me....I don't know. The green army men are just that...who cares? Tinkerbell has been around since the beginning and has always remained a fairy who people only get a small glimpse of....can't explain my feeling well enough on here...it's just wrong to me.

I agree with Dana as far as the mystery of Tinkerbell. I also agree with wdwspider that the size thing should not be an issue. I totally love the idea of going through a shrinking queue. I think kids would love that. I would love that!! TINK is my Favorite!!

I love Tinkerbell!!! But I think it is wrong for her to be seen life size. Currently she is seen life size in the Disneyland parade. That's just wrong!!! The only place I see her being appropriate is during the fireworks when she flies from the castle. From that vantage point she appears to be small and fairy like.

I agree that she should remain a mystic icon that spreads pixie dust, and gets a little pouty when things don't go her way. Personnaly, I enjoy seeing a little bit of Tinkerbell in my wife (Daisee). For that matter, every women has a little Tink in her somewhere.

The shrinking queue idea is really neat, that would help explain why Tinkerbell got so big. I do understand Dana's point of view as well though, Tinkerbell is sort of a mystery and has sort of 'stayed out of sight' all these years. I'm kind of torn on this issue

At first I thought this might be cool but now I'm with those who don't want to see Tink in full size. She's a tiny fairy that we shouldn't see full size and up close.

I agree. I don't think any woman could pull off Tink's look. She is just too cute, curvy, and spirited.

OK, OK, I thought I was on the side of a Tink meet & greet, but you all have a point, the mystery is a very important factor here. I have to admit, looking for Tink through that keyhole in MK does seem to bring a little pixie dust to your day. Maybe a life size Tink would just make her another CM in a costume?

exactly! There are some thing that are and should remain a mystery....kinda like seeing mickey in the morning with stubbles and scratching his bum.

I am, of course, in complete agreement with you Dana...I just don't need, or want, to see Tink that way. No one....NO ONE...could do her justice..IMHO.
