is going to MK in August(around 8th or so) that dreadfully hot.I have 3 children ages 13,7,5. Should I chance it. How are the crowds levels at that time?

Yes, it's hot. DEfinately hot, but still worth it.

Mousemom - I'm afraid it will be hot - and humid. I really don't know about the crowds at that time - probably still pretty busy, although it slows right down near the end of August when kids are going back to school. Try to take it slow, drink lots of water, make sure you have hats and sunglasses. There's usually an afternoon shower to cool things down for - say - 15 minutes. Then it's back to hot and humid again.

Undoubtedly. I however won't be showing up until Sept. 1 - so the rest of you will just have to be totally hot for August. (Feelin' hot-hot-hot)

It's been very, VERY hot here lately. I'm sure August will be no different than the past 3 years I've been here. The crowds seem to have been down this summer. And with August everyone starts school again so the crowds may be down even more.

Yup it's hot, so keep your family hydrated, take swim breaks in the afternoon, enjoy the air conditioning and remember even though it may be sweltering you're in WDW.

Honestly...

It's hot. You'll be sweating buckets. And buying a bunch of drinks. And ice cream (yum!).

The crowds... are horrible. Everyone is trying to squeeze in that last-minute Disney vacation.

But... it's Disney! It will always be worth it!!!
