WDW Modern Marvels

I just saw the coolest DVD it was from the History Channel. It is called Disney World Modern Marvels. It follows the progress of WDW as it was built. It was so cool. The footage before during and after are amazing. They show so much that I can't wait to go back. The documentary shows each park and the construction. I really enjoyed it.

Did you rent this from a video store like Hollywood Video or did you have to buy it? I'd like to check it out, too.

They show that one periodically on the History Channel and on the Travel Channel. I try not to miss it - it is my Disney fix. Say, is there more of Disney on today? Do you know?

It is wonderful! I own it and must watch it monthly at least!

You can buy it on DVD for sure for I think about $20. Well worth the money.

Re: WDW Modern Marvels

I saw the show on the History Channel and recorded in on DVD and watch it every so often. They sure did get things done alot faster back then it seems as far as attractions, etc.

Actually, they are different programs. They are produced by the same team and Modern Marvels never runs on Travel Channel.
Among places I've seen this DVD for sale has been Mousegear and the Main Street Emporium. Best Buy and Amazon have it too.

Re: WDW Modern Marvels

i watched it and loved it. I get most of TV shows I cannot watch during the week from shareTV (the same as those who Tivo or DVR but I dl from the net. i do not want to post the link incase people disagree with my opinions) they had modern marvels but not the one on Disney. I had to get the episode from my least fav. pirate source. (it was tough since I do not support this "pirate source" if yo dl you wil know what im refering to.) It was a great show and really enjoyed it. I have a nice home theatre setup and its now a much needed addition to my PC/TV. I showed to a bunch of freinds tonight and they were so interested.

I Tivo'ed this a while back, and we all snuggle up together and watch it periodically. It gives us a fix until we get back to the World!

Re: WDW Modern Marvels

Here's a link to the Modern Marvels, Walt Disney World DVD.

Walt Disney World DVD

The first time I saw it I looked it up on history Channel and bought it. That was about 2 years ago. The box cover has changed some but it's the same DVD. Very good, very informative. And some great old footage from building the four parks. It's a must have for any WDW fan.
