Body Wars IS Star Tours. I don't know what they plan to do with the Body Wars ride mechanism itself though.

Re: Wonders of Life?

It was not open when we went a few weeks ago. They had some bushes blocking the entrance and it said it was closed. Look like it was permantly down.

Re: Wonders of Life?

Its a shame they open and close it so rarely. I haven't been to that pavilion since I was like 9 years old.

Re: Wonders of Life?

ooh... I was there the last day it was open!!! We were just sitting down, and my dad sent us to go see what was going on in the pavillion because people were coming out (usually, it's not open). And so we went... and then we decided to play around. Did Body Wars (they're taking it out), Cranium Command, and we drug my sister into The Making of Me. It was hilarious.

I forgot about the making of me. It would have been a great attraction for my 10, 12 and 13 year olds. They were too young the last time we went to Disney.

Re: Wonders of Life?

I really liked this pavilion. Cranium Command is a good laugh! Sure, it needs updating but the ideas were still good! Food Rocks was cheesy but fun. It's been closed because no sponser companies are willing to invest the money it will take to update.

Re: Wonders of Life?

Food Rocks was at The Land. They took it out to put in Soarin. (I was disappointed... Soarin' is great and all, but couldn't they have put it somewhere else and left Food Rocks?)

Re: Wonders of Life?

Oh, that's right. It was at The Land, sorry! Not sure what I was thinking. I'm dissapointed it's gone just the same.

Food Rocks was the show where food items would sing remakes of rock songs with the words changed so it was about good nutrition (Good Nutrition instead of Good Vibrations) and eating and such. It was cute.

Re: Wonders of Life?

It's a pavilion in Epcot where Body Wars, Cranium Command, The Making of Me were housed. It had been open seasonally for awhile (though it's still labeled that way) and has been since closed. They can't keep it open because they have no sponser to pay for the updates that it desperately needs.

That has to be the lamest excuse I've ever heard! Cedar Point doesn't need to have "sponsors" for their marquee attractions and they don't need sponsorship money to maintain them. The very concept that Walt Disney world, and the Walt Disney Company have to wait for some other corporation to open it's wallet to update Disney's attractions is bogus on multiple levels! It's more likely that the pavilion itself has become less popular as time has gone on and Disney just hasn't known what to do with it, especially after dropping about $130 million between MS and Soarin' and the current refurb of Spaceship Earth (again with funding from a "sponsor"). Or is Disney carrying the "world's fair" vibe too far with each pavilion being controlled by it's own corporate entity like NY 64-65 with Pepsi, Coke, Ford, the countries of Sweden, Japan, Norway, the states of NY, NJ, Florida, Illinois?

You know every time I hear one of those Food Rocks songs on the radio I start singing the words from the attraction!
