Good place to see MK fireworks from Grand Floridian?

We will be having dinner at 1900 Park Fare on our first evening--a 6:30 ADR. Does anyone know of a good spot outside the resort where we could watch the fireworks? I thought that might be a fun ending to our day as I'm sure the kids will be wiped out, and I don't necessarily want to get in the MK crowds just to see fireworks we'll see up close the next night.

I think given the layout of the resort, anyplace will give you a decent view.

When we stayed in the special concierge level, we were just above the GF's ala carte food place (I think it was called Sasparilla Grille then). IIRC there were tables and chairs out in front of that (it's a sort of mini-marina area).

That'd be a good place.

I'm not sure whether they still pipe the fireworks music in.

There is a great view from the deck outside of Narcossee's with piped in music.

Thanks so much for the suggestions! Looks like we'll be able to hang around and see the fireworks after dinner!

Agreed, that is a great spot to see the Wishes. If you're lucky... It's a fantastic spot to see Fantasy in the Sky. However, that show is done four times a year.

I've really wanted to keep this spot quiet, even though I've posted what I think are the 9 best places to watch MK fireworks.
I have yet to see Fantasy in the Sky, well the holiday version. I did see it once in 2001 and compared to Wishes, it didn't come close.

Fantasy in the Sky was never different, (if I'm not mistaking) other than the music played. MK does Fantasy four times a year, July 3rd and 4th as well as December 30th and 31st. I hadn't experienced Fantasy in the Sky since I was a kid, but we did a three night stay for New Years last year and watched it on the 30th. The difference between Fantasy and Wishes is night and day. The sad thing is it is almost impossible to say which one is better. It just depends if you prefer the 360 degrees of fireworks going off all at once vs the magical set synced up to a fun soundtrack. Fantasy in the Sky is an experience that is so amazing to watch from the statue with Walt and Mickey inside MK. But, Wishes is more interactive (the best word I could use to describe it) and is also amazing to see within the park. Huh, maybe they should consider running both shows nightly... That won't get expensive!

Also Soundgod, I'd like to see your 9 spots to see the fireworks. I don't think I have ever read your listings. Seeing as how you have more random Disney knowledge than me, I'm very curious!
