<sigh> I am very bummed that HM will be closed during Labor Day weekend. That is one of my favorites although DW has sworn that she will never go on it again cuz it is too scary for her

I didn't know the barnstormer was going to be down. Thanks for the tip, we'll make sure to take it in as soon as we get there.

Re: Maintenance schedules for rides Aug - Sep

Wow, im shocked that the actual disney site would hide certain things? What would they gain? If a ride will be down, I prefer to be notified before I go down assuming it will be open.

I hope the first listed is the most accurate but it seems like it has some big items missing. For some reason I think and will assume the RnR going down is just one big rumor.

I dont know, im not gonna worry about it, if something major is down I will plan to speak with a CM about it since it was not on the official disney site. Otherwise there is plenty of things to do when down in disney, every ride can be someones fav so they cant keep everybody happy. I just hate to think think they would not list when a ride will be down.

If anything I could see a lot of rides being down during the free DDP, that way they would attract people since the major rides are being udated but they want the free dinning.

I dont I guess I will not know till i get down there.

Re: Maintenance schedules for rides Aug - Sep

Before anybody goes running off and complains to CMs about rides being down, remember, these are really pieces of industrial machinery and they do break down from time to time. I wish I could tell you all the times I've been turned away from Space Mountain, Big Thunder, HM, RnRCoaster, Star Tours, Splash Mountain on any given day, or even just for a few hours, because it was temporarily out of service. It happens in every park, Disney parks are no different.

Re: Maintenance schedules for rides Aug - Sep

I agree, I would never complain about things that are out of anybodies control. I have a boat and have worked on ships, I would a be a mess if I let things out of anybodies control get to me. Machines have minds of there own, even the perfect machine has its breakdowns. One thing I would be upset about is the way both parts of there site are not updated as to routine maintanence. (since I also work with computers I can sympathize but I would be upset.)

I do agree with you, and would never take it out on a CM even if the site was not updated in both places, nothings is perfect and mix ups happen. I would probably let it slide but since I will be with others who have not been to disney it would be disaponting and I would bring it to the attention of a CM. They may not be aware of the problem and not felt the need to fix it. I used to work for SONY in NYC and they had tons of errors that were never even realized.

Thats why companies have quality control and human resourece departments, sometimes they just need to be informed, the good thing is I always give people the same resepect I expect to receive in return, since I have never meet an angry or upset CM it would be no problem.

Thank you for clearing that up though Soundgod, I would not want to have people taking out there emotions on a CM who had no control over the issue.
