What is MNSSHP like? Ride times? Fast passes?
Hi!
I am planning our October trip and I have some questions about MNSSHP. We are going to MNSSHP on Thursday 10/18 for the first time. What are ride waiting times like for the party? We will mostly be going on the Fantasy Land rides. Do they do Fast Passes for the party? Is is SUPER crowded, or just moderately crowded? I am wondering if we'll want to go to the MK another day during our trip or if we'll get to see all the Fantasy Land rides that night. Thanks in advance!!!! ![]()

Re: What is MNSSHP like? Ride times? Fast passes?
We went last year in late September and there were no lines except for at the trick-or-treat stations, fireworks and parades. All attractions were open. It was wonderful! We are going again this year early October. Disney only sells a limited number of tickets each night which is much less than a normal day (I think 25,000)

When we went lat year had the same crowds like Susan. I can't remember if there was fast passes but I personally did not think we needed them that night if they did.

MNSSHP is a lot of fun!! you'll have a great time. the lines are not long at all. we walked right onto space mountain. that was great!! we didn't use fast pass on certain rides because the lines were short enough.

LOADS of fun! Most people are dressed in costumes, Main Street has "ghosts" flying all around, the lights are orange and purple . . . and the PARADE is FANTASTIC. I'd recommend watching it in Frontierland if you can . . . I watched from Main St. last year and I think it was better from Frontierland, darker somehow.
The lines are short, no fastpasses that I can remember . . . there are candy lines and characters all over the place . . . the fireworks are FANTASTIC, watch from the front of the castle so you can see Tink save the day!!! Last year I went on the 31st, and the crowd seemed a little bigger then the year before when I went a week before Halloween. ENJOY!! We want to go again this year . . . fingers crossed! |

No more free pics. I believe they do give you a special photopass for the evening with like 50% discount on one photo. FPs were not necessary as there no lines at all. Crowds are mild because of the limited number of tickets sold.

Re: What is MNSSHP like? Ride times? Fast passes?
I wasn't going to comment on this, but the only thing I'll say is the parade and the fireworks are can't miss. (We had horrible crowds last year-we went on sept 29th 2006--we found out that our night had been sold out)
If you collect pins or Mickey's (I collect the stuffed mickey's) you can only get certain ones just at the MNSSHP's!

Re: What is MNSSHP like? Ride times? Fast passes?
We went twice in 2005 ( including 10/31) and once in 2006. Halloween was crowded, but after the parade and fireworks it cleared out. It was Monday night so I am guessing local people went home after the fireworks. The other two times we went short lines, no fass passes needed.
Have fun, wish we were going this year! But it is not in the plans! |

Re: What is MNSSHP like? Ride times? Fast passes?
Having been to the party twice, I can honestly say it's well worth the money to attend. That said, I would not use this time as your attration time. Do the Magic Kingdom attractions on another day. Use this party as a time to soak of the atmosphere. WDW does an excellent job with this party. They have dance parties, trick or treating, two parades and a special fireworks show. In order to actually do everything, you really have to spend some time not going on the attractions. My DD and I did it like this: trick or treating, parade, fireworks, trick or treating and then rides at the end. The park will be empty after the second parade. You will be able to do anything at that time with little or no wait. If you really want to do rides, wait until then. Another good time to hit the attractions is between 6pm and 7pm when the park is starting to empty before the party. You are allowed to enter the park for the party and get your party bands as early as 4:30pm.
