Animal Kingdom

The new restaurant currently under construction in Animal Kingdom's Asia will be named Yak and Yeti. To fit in with Anandapur, the fictional village that is home to Expedition Everest, the restaurant will be themed as a rural village in the Himalayan foothills. The pan-Asian establishment will house both a table service restaurant that seats 300 and a quick-service eatery that can hold 200 customers. The restaurant was announced in February 2006. The opening has been pushed back to November 14, 2007. (It was previously reported that the opening would be October 8.)

Tusker House - Tusker house will be closed from August 20 until November 17. It is being converted to a buffet table service restaurant. During this time, the Safari Celebration Dinner Grand Gathering will be unavailable. The last Safari Grand Gathering will be on August 19. It will return on November 25. Kusafiri Coffee Shop and Bakery are closed August 20 - November 16th, while Tusker House is refurbished. It will reopen as a window take out only.

Epcot

Spaceship Earth, presented by Siemens, will be undergoing a number of changes over the coming months. The changes will combine the attraction's time-travel adventure into the past with a new finale that provides guests the opportunity to imagine their futures. Each of the ride scenes will be enhanced, and new show scenes will be added to the attraction's story along with new lighting effects, costumes, set decoration, narration and musical score. With phased renovations occurring through the year, Spaceship Earth's makeover is scheduled to be fully completed in early 2008. Read the full press release.
The Mickey Hand and Wand are being removed from the outside of Spaceship Earth during this rehab also. Current announced closures for Spaceship Earth: July 9 – November 13.

The American Heritage Gallery will be closed for refurbishment from July 23 - September 26, 2007. This fall, a brand-new "National Treasures" exhibit will open inside The American Adventure. The continuously changing exhibit will showcase the contributions of great Americans featuring items such as the microscope used by George Washington Carver, Thomas Edison's cylinder phonograph and motion picture projector, and one of Abraham Lincoln's actual stovepipe hats.

Opening date for Japan's Teppen Edo and Tokyo Dining has been delayed until October 15th. Persons with reservations during the earlier opening date of August 21 and the new date are being contacted to make alternate arrangements for dining. (8/9/07)

The rehab for the Mitsukoshi Teppanyaki Restaurant, Matsu No Ma Lounge and Tempura Kiku in Epcot's Japan pavilion has been extended. These restaurants will not reopen now until September 15, 2007. When they do, Teppanyaki will be renamed Teppan Edo, while the lounge and Tempura Kiku will be dubbed Tokyo Dining, as previously reported. NOTE: Restaurant is scheduled to open a few days earlier than previously announced. This rehab has been rescheduled several times now -- and may change again. Check back to make sure of dates. (Originally reported dates were January 15 - May 25, 2007, then March 11 through July 14.)
Magic Kingdom

Haunted Mansion will be closed June 6 thru Sept 12.

The King's Gallery in Fantasyland will close and be converted to Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique July 5 ? September 9, 2007.

Liberty Square Riverboat will be closed September 17-September 20, 2007.

Donald's Boat will be closed from September 4 - 18, 2007 for refurbishment.

Tommorowland Terrace Noodle Station and El Pirata y Perico Restaurante will be closed beginning August 10th. El Pirata will open during Pirate and Princess Events.

Disney-MGM Studios

Rock 'n' Roller Coaster Starring Aerosmith will be closed for refurbishment September 4 - 30, 2007.

Hoop Dee Doo Musical Revue will be closed on Tuesdays and Wednesdays begining September 4th through October 24, 2007. The show will be performed Thursday through Mondays during this period.

All Star Sports

The Surfboard Pool and Kiddie pool are closed for refurbishment from August 27 - October 4, 2007.

Animal Kingdom Lodge

On going construction in the Lodge for conversion of deluxe rooms to Disney Vacation Club Villas. Also outside construction of new animal barn and Disney Vacation Club Building. Construction scheduled to last to April 2009.

Boardwalk

Big River Grill will be closed for refurbishment from August 18 - September 1, 2007. While closed they will use Atlantic Dance Hall for service.
Contemporary Resort

The North Garden wing is being demolished. The tennis courts and playground are also gone. Rumors swirl of a Disney Vacation Club Resort however no official announcement has been made.

The Food and Fun Center will close in July to be converted to a new table service restaurant. Beginning July 30, 2007, a temporary quick service restaurant called Tempo Grab and Go will operate near the Outer Rim lounge on the 4th Floor. It will be open through August 14, 2008. The new table service location will be called The Wave, and is tentatively set to open in late March or April 2008. Once The Wave opens, the Concourse Steakhouse will close and a new, permanent quick service restaurant will be constructed in that space, set to debut in mid-August 2008.

Coronado Springs Resort

Francisco's, the lounge at the resort, is in the process of being expanded now through October 12, 2007. It will reopen with a bar, lounge, and cafe. La Tienda , the convenience store, will be relocated.

Ft. Wilderness

Hoop Dee Doo Dinner Show will be closed on September 4, 5, 11 and 12th for refurbishment.
Grand Floridian Resort

1900 Park Fare will close for rehab July 9 through September 29, 2007. During 1900 Park Fare's closure, the Grand Floridian Cafe will offer a pre-plated character breakfast and dinner, "Supercalifragilistic Breakfast", "Cinderella's Gala Feast", and the "Wonderland Tea Party". Also during that time, Citricos, upstairs at the Grand Floridian, will be open for breakfast and lunch with a menu similar to the cafe's. Citricos will also resume dinner seven days a week. (It is currently closed Monday and Tuesday.)

Lake Buena Vista Golf Course closed May 21 and will be under refurbishment through September 28, 2007.

The Official All Star Cafe at Disney's Wide World of Sports will be closed for refurbishment from September 23 through November 19, 2007.

I'd expect them to recostume the characters from Donald's Breafastosaurus. I thought I'd read that somewhere, especially seeing as they're moving the character breakfast from Restaurantosaurus to Tusker House.

So, one major ride in The Studios and AK just has Tusker House closed. There's some action out in the resorts, but Big River at the Boardwalk will be open in their own location on Friday. The restaurants at Contemporary aren't really affected yet, and it looks like one will open before it's opposite closes. Most people won't even be bothered by the majority of these closings.
