Tom Sawyers Island

Does anyone know if you can still collect the paint brushes on the island and turn them in for a prize? If so are they hard to find and do you need to find a certain number of them?

Yes, they still do it, though they do not do it all the time, and it is basically impossible to find out when they which day or at what time of the day. I guess you could ask one of the CMs who run the rafts, they will most likely know.

Well, anyone can participate, though the prizes aren't that great (Fastpasses or something similar).

Don't go if you're claustrophobic! Well, don't go into the caves, that is! It was very hot out when we tried it, and REALLY, we felt like we were going to die. It's so dark you really can't see where you are and the floor gets slanted at times. My dad wanted to explore the caves when we went, and luckily I'd already tried it so I was able to say well... And he very promptly said no thanks. :)

I vaguely remember going on Tom Sawyer's Island years ago. If you go on the island do you have to go through the caves or can you just walk around?

Even though this area is not "thrilling" as some rides are my kids love to run around the island! We never miss doing this. It just lets kids be kids.

I agree and its a really nice place to let little ones burn off some extra energy sometimes ..and our girls still love to feed the ducks from Aunt Polly's thats another thing ..you can spot lots of ducks and rabbits on the island ..there are some nice shady spots. its a great place to take a break. right where the raft docks ..the rockers are great ..if you can get one .. we seldom have trouble getting one :)
