OMG!! We're watching Ellen right now and she talked about Epcot's birthday, and about Ellen's Energy Adventure ("it's kind of like Pirates of the Caribbean, only without the fun") and about how they were making her audio-animatronic like her ("Oprah has a magazine, but does she have a robot?") and such.

And if they'd only hinted they'd have been doing anything on October 1, I would have shifted my dates a month ago. What a drag.
Any word on how long they'll perform the 25th birthday tag on Illuminations, or was it one night only? Anyone?

Rumor was that the globe would be coming out of Illuminations at the end of Sept. Starting Monday Oct 1st was supposed to be a special fireworks show. Unfortunately, I couldn't make it over there as it conflicted with the Bengals vs Patriots. I was going to try and make it over there this weekend to see if Illuminations was changed, but I've got lots of homework and a block party to attend.
So, did anyone actually see the show on Monday? Is the globe finally gone? Did the rumors pan out, and was Illuminations changed permanately?

The globe is still there. They ran a special tag on October 1 with new fireworks.

I'm also suprised that there was no big celebration. I was in EPOCT (last week) on the 25th anvsry and they gave buttons... I also bought a couple of 25th pins. The strange part was that Spaceship Earth was closed. Some planning???
