Re: Do I boot SeaWorld for another WDW park day?

There will be lots for the 3 year old to remember.

I'd just plan on day at Seaworld then hit a WDW park in the evening to top off the day.

It sounds like you really want to share SeaWorld with your family, if you do then I think you should keep it in the plans.

Outside of my opinion, I think DT is right. If you are even questioning it this much, you better go or you will come back from your trip with regrets. THAT is a major NO-NO on vacation.

My opinion... go to Seaworld . This opportunity with your kids at this age is just as much for you and your memory books as it is for your kids. Enjoy it, SeaWorld is a very nice alternative park. I love it and it is different enough from mostly anything to be found at Disney to be a unique experience in itself. Plus, seeing your kids feed and pet a dolphin is priceless.

Re: Do I boot SeaWorld for another WDW park day?

If it were any other time of year, I'd say do Sea World. But not at Christmas time. I would spend every minute at WDW. There is so much to see and do, so many decorations everywhere you go. We find ourselves spending more time in Epcot between CP and the Storytellers. And the resorts are worth visiting, too. It's going to be a lot to cram in.

Re: Do I boot SeaWorld for another WDW park day?

When I was about five or six... maybe seven years old, we were in the car, at the Animal Kingdom entrance (the park had just opened - must've been 1999...). The park had already reached maximum capacity, so we were turned away. Now, I burst into tears. I had wanted to go to AK more than anything (I was a huge animal lover and since it had just opened, hadn't been to AK, yet)! Well, my dad, refusing to disappoint, drove to SeaWorld. "It's not the same!" I cried. But, we went in, and I saw a hairwrap booth. Dad saw the excitement in my eyes and quickly took me over to get a hairwrap. That was just the beginning of the wonderful day!

I remember having so much fun... so, it wasn't Disney, but at the time, I thought it was even better (how dare I!)... I insisted we go back to SeaWorld on our next trip, too.

So... SeaWorld can be fun. But it may be a last resort...

Re: Do I boot SeaWorld for another WDW park day?

With a seven day trip, you have plenty of time to do sea world. It's a great park and totally worth doing. I am going back there again this august....went in october 04 and loved it.

Re: Do I boot SeaWorld for another WDW park day?

On one of our WDW trips, we rented a car from Alamo (on site) and drove to St. Augustine. It is a very historical place and at the time our DS was learning all about it in school. We actually enjoyed getting out, and seeing what else Florida has to offer besides WDW. We were staying at WDW for 10 days, so one day away from the parks was not a big deal to us. I would go to Sea world.

This is a good point. A VERY good point. Don't come home with regrets.

Re: Do I boot SeaWorld for another WDW park day?

Have I told you Mousebuzzers lately how much I love you?

It is so helpful to have you all to talk through these plans. Having read all of your wonderful input I think we will keep SeaWorld in the plans. Mostly because I think my DD (3) will love it as much as I do AND we wont be back for several years (I know....very sad indeed). I definitely don't want to have any regrets. I am going to leave the evening open to visit a WDW park.

Thank you! Thank you! Thank you!

I am happy that you were able to make a decision. We keep trying to decide what we are going to do on our May trip and we still can not decide on anything.

I love that planning process too! Well, we have thought about doing two days at Universal (we have never been there) and then decided not to. Then we said we would try Sea World (went to the one that used to be in Ohio once...yes that was a long time ago) but then decided we just really want to be at WDW for a relaxing vacation. We own a DVC and are booked at SSR but now we cant decide where we want to stay as we can change resorts TODAY. I think we are going to try to get into BCV's....I think.
