Pirates and Princess Party

Does anyone know when they will announce 2008 dates for this party? I saw i think on Tour Guide Mike's that they have some tentative dates and one of those days was while i am in the world next April and I would love to attend.

They may not be posting them because as of right now, there will be a Pirate and Princess Party every Saturday night at the MK (except for holiday stuff) next year!!!

If they're going to be every Saturday do you think they'll still be a separate ticket party like they were this year, or do you think it'll be handled differently like maybe only for resort guests or open to anyone who's in the MK on Saturday or something else??? Inquiring minds want to know!

Rowdy will have the answer but I would think that it will remain a hard ticket event.

I think so too. As of right now I don't have much of an answer, although I did find out the commercial I shot for the event is supposed to air during the Christmas Day parade (look for Jafar) so maybe as time grows closer I'll have a much better answer.

It's a separate party like MNSSHP and MVMCP. The MK closes to the general public at 7pm and then only those with tickets to the party can stay. The crowds are low and the rides are open. At the PPP you got a little black bag to collect bootie (candie and beads) at places scattered around the park. You get a map with "Xs" to tell you where to go. There are characters out for meets and greets that you don't normally see (like Capt Jack) and they have special mini-shows (Jasmine's Royal Court, Pirate Tutorial, etc) that aren't usually shown. The PPP had a special parade and a special (and totally AMAZING) fireworks show. I went twice in one week and loved it! Initially it was held in Jan/Feb and then brought back in Aug. Now it's planned for every Sat in 2008!

allears.net had some dates for january and february listed in their weekly email. you might try their website for more info!

A lot of times they do offer DVC members discounts but for certain nights only.

It would be interesting if they offer "special discount dates". It seems kind of hard to do something like that if they're doing so many over them over a year. And as least popular as the party is I would assume they would lower the price to attract more people to it. It's hard to tell how much money people will spend over the summer just to spend extra time in the park though. I would hope that once it becomes popular like the halloween and christmas it'll only happen select times of the year. I look forward to party time of the year for a ton of extra hours.
