Mission Space - Orange or Green

Okay, how many of you have actually rode the Orange side. I was determined to ride the Green only, but my son told me that I MUST ride the orange side to get the full effect of the ride.

Not sure about it though. Comments

Re: Mission Space - Orange or Green

The last time we were there, I chickened out. But then they didn't have the green option. I was told by my people that I have to ride the thing and it has to be the full version. You and I should meet and do it together

Green.

Green green green.

Did I mention GREEN?

Orange made me terribly, terribly sick. I've since done the green, and I really enjoyed it. More, even, because I got to enjoy the ride rather than concentrate on keeping my stomach in place.

As the CM said... there are 42 separate warnings about how this ride can affect you. If any of them resonate with you... RECONSIDER.

Re: Mission Space - Orange or Green

DS, DD, DSis, DBiL, DNephew, Dniece & myself have done orange (green was not available the last time we were there) and we all did fine. At the end of take off I have to really concentrate and not allow myself to think about getting sick..but I have never recommended this to DH because he does have some instances of motion sickness and I think this is something that could bring it on. He's done RnRC, Star Tours and most everything except TofT and has never been sick at WDW, however, this is one ride that I'm not comfortable "talking him into"...now that they'll have the green option, I'll ask him to try it in March.
How motion sick do you get??? Can you focus and overcome the feeling?? My kids and DSis' kids never have complained of sickness, I don't think DSis or DBil have either...but there are plenty of folks that have, so it's hard to persuade you to try orange. I'd have to say, try the Green and if it's a piece of cake, then go for the Orange. Best of Luck!!

Re: Mission Space - Orange or Green

My DH and I have both done the green and orange sides. Neither has effected me to any degree, green doesn't feel as intense on the stomach but the ride is fairly short and in my opinion the isn't a huge extended period of time that feels really crazy. My only affliction with this ride is having the screen RIGHT in front of your face and it's a very thin area inside your cabin. Kinda caustrophobic, but it's fun.

We've only ever done the side that spins, but we haven't had any problems with it. Just keep your eyes open and on the screen.

Re: Mission Space - Orange or Green

I have only ridden this ride ONE time. I rode Orange side because there wasn't a green side at the time. Our last visit, I opted out of riding because I just did not feel right after riding it the first time. Not really sick, but kinda dizzy..

Re: Mission Space - Orange or Green

I did orange the first time... I felt pretty dizzy for some time after the ride. Not queasy, but dizzy because I had some allergy congestion (overshare, I know...)

Next trip, I did green, and it was completely fun -- with no dizziness!!!

Re: Mission Space - Orange or Green

I've only been on it once and that was before you had the choice and this time I will again take whats now the orange and if I can get my DW to go on it will be the Green as she's not a big fan of speed or spinning

Re: Mission Space - Orange or Green

On our last visit we rode the green side for the first time. It was fun, but none of the effects of the orange side. The orange side didn't make me sick, but it is intense.

Re: Mission Space - Orange or Green

We did the green side and it seemed like nothing. We haven't done the orange side but are thinking we will this next time around. I'm not worried about me so much. DH gets queezy on the Tilt-a-Whirl at the county fair. Suppose he'll have the same effect on the orange side??
