Disney trip: where to start?

Ok so now that i'm not going to disneyland with my unnamed friend anymore,( i still love you!!!) I have come to the conclusion that i should take my own trip. Heres the problem. I have only been to disneyland twice (when i was 6 and 10) And I let my mom do all of the planning. SO, I need any help I can get, tips, advice, how to start planning. Let me know if you have anything!!!

It all depends on your time and financial resources..

Minimum three days is suggested to do both Disneyland and California Adventure.

Priceline will get you good hotel rooms offsite without breaking the bank.

Summer and Christmas are crowded. As is the day after Thanksgiving. Pretty much between now and Christmas, the weekends will be heavier than the weekdays.

If money is no object, stay at the Disney Hotel or the Grand Californian.

Hope this helps..

I would recommend you obtain an annual pass.

I bought the Premium for myself and the heir apparent. After 11 days, they have paid for themselves. No black out dates. They aren't cheap, but then, neither is Disneyland..

Um, back when my heir apparent turned 10, when Disney considers you an adult, I paid $200.00 each for a premium pass. That was back in December 2003.

Now, as of May 2007, I paid $345 for the same premium annual pass. It's still less than a dollar a day, if you go to Disneyland every day.

If you don't, I think the actual entry is either $75 or $80 for one day.

Add in free parking with premium pass, and as long as you make an appearance after the fifth day, it's affordable..

Re: Disney trip: where to start?

We bought an annual pass, and saved tons on the Grand Californian. Here's a little trick also- buy a DL ticket on Ebay. Buy a five day pass with 1 or 2 days left, and then you can convert it into an annual pass, the price on the back of the ticket is reduced off the AP price!, But you must do this in the park on or before the last used day! We saved a ton!

Take the pressure off yourself and get a good travel agent, that you can give your budget to and they can tailor your trip while you pay on it.
