We just came back yesterday - I'm ready to go again! use all the fast pass you can. This was the first time we found several of the cue wait times to be wrong. We entered Splash Mountain with a 40 min. standby and it was actually 80 minutes. By the time we made it through, we had a fast pass and it was time to ride again.
I think more people are becoming fastpass savy and they are reaching the limit for the day earlier. It was of course, very busy. All the resorts were booked and it's the last of the vacation time for those of us with kids in school.

Re: Fastpass

Ive never done the fast pass thing. Ive always gone the 2nd week of December. The waits are generally pretty short, and im kinda Obsessive Compulsive Disorder about jumping around the park, I like to take one set path, and make sure not to miss anything. I could just see myself at the opposite end of the park and look at my watch and say "oh, no I gotta be back at (Insert ride name here) for my 3:45 fast pass" then have to walk all the way over there, ride the said ride, then have to walk all the way back to where I was before hand. It kinda reminds me of making appointments for rides. Thats basically what it is. For people who dont mind planning their whole day by making "appointments" for various rides, im sure its great.

They will usually honor fastpasses if it is after your return window- but never before!

Re: Fastpass

How many fast passes can you get at once? can you really only have one per person?

Re: Fastpass

They will honor your fast past anytime after your scheduled ride time, during the park hours. You can do what you want and come back later, that way you might have several fast passes you can use.

You can get one FastPass per person per hour. Some may be for several hours in the future, (especially attractions like Soarin' at Epcot) so you may be able to use them within a short period of time, but you can only get one per hour.

More more info, here are articles on Magic Kingdom Fastpass attractions, Epcot Fastpass, Animal Kingdom Fastpass, and Hollywood Studios Fastpass attractions.

Hope this helps! :)

yes it does since the way it used to be, or rather how a CM once explained it was you could only have 1 active per person at a time until your time slot became available. Then you could get another. There were ocassions where we'd think about getting a FP around 1 but the time slots were so backed up on certain rides the next available time slot wasn't until later that evening, meaning if we got that one we couldn't get another until it was used (or cancelled out) which would pretty much waste our FP day.
Glad to know they changed it (or else the CM gave us wrong info) because there's several rides we passed on not wanting to tie up our FP's.

So phoohbe66- if you are Lucky enough to get a fast-pass for soarin say at 10.30am and your ride time is for 18.00 (6 PM ) then you can not get another fast-pass until after 17.00 (5PM). most fast-pass you get to ride within a hour or two. but soarin and everest are exceptions

Re: Fastpass

Huh, ok now i'm all over again. Which way is now. Can you get a new one "every hour" regardless of when the time of your current one is valid for OR is it the way I was told by a CM years ago which is you can not get another until the time slot of your current one has come available?
Someone please draw me a picture because the past few trips if there was a long FP time we either went stand-by or skipped it all together instead of sitting on ONE ticket all day.

I was there two weeks ago, and it works how I mentioned in my previous note. You can get one Fastpass per hour regardless of the time-stamp for when you can use it. To test this, get a Fastpass, then try to get another a few minutes later. If you get the Fastpass at 10:00 a.m. for example to ride at 2:00 p.m. (not unreasonable with Soarin'), try to get another one at 10:15. Instead of a Fastpass you'll get a ticket that states that you can't get another one until 11:00. This is how we did it this year for Soarin' / Test Track.

Thanks Dad. We'll hit more rides even faster this time.
Can't believe the info we were given in the past was sooo wrong. We didn't misunderstand the CM because I even clarified and repeated what she'd said, which was "we'd have to wait till within the time frame of our current before getting another". We should've tried to get another anyway to see if it would've worked. I'm just glad we don't go during peak so our stanby's were really short.

There's a time at the bottom of every fastpass that tells you when you can get another one. It's not always the time the FP becomes active but it can be. The longest you will have to wait is 2 hours before getting a new fastpass.
