At what frequency do you visit WDW?
I can see from most of your signature lines the number of times you have visited WDW and where you have stayed. It made me wonder what my fellow DCer's general idea was on the frequency of trips they make.
I happen to be one of the lucky ones who live within 60 miles of WDW. :) :) That along with the great Florida Resident deals available have allowed my family to visit several times over the past few years. ![]() Last year we purchased the Play 4 for 4 pass which was like a 4 park hopper for 4 days over the first 6 months of the year. We took advantage of that and made a 3 day trip in March and a 3 day trip in May. This year we decided on the Seasonal pass and took a 4 day family trip in February, and my wife and I went sans children for 3 days in April. Tomorrow I am taking the 3 kids to the MK for the day while Mom is at a Home School convention. We will all meet at EPCOT in the evening. ![]() We are planning a trip in August for my DC's Birthdays and at least 2 day trips after that. |

We live in New Jersey and getting to Disney for us requires some planning. Plane tickets, WDW tickets and hotel accomadations. A short trip would not justify the money spent for plane tickets so we always try to plan at least a week or more. We have been there 3 times so we average about every 18 months. I wish we could go more but with 3 DS's (15, 12,9) arranging everyone schedule can get complicated.

My trips w/in the last few years, followed whenever the Play 4 days passes were available. I thought at one time, they were offered twice a year. We never stayed over, just drove up for the day and back home. Just last year we started staying over for weekends. This year, I have bought Ap's for us, so we'll be going once a month for day visits. We stay a week in June( 16 more days to go!), and then we'll stay over a couple weekends w/in the AP year. (May03- May 04).

DH and I used to go all the time when we were dating. (We only live 2 hrs from WDW). Unforunately the last couple of years we have not been able to go as often as we would like to go. Hoepfully that will all change this year.
We have the 4 day passes for FL residents, and I think our Christmas gift this year, will be AP for the family. And we will splurge on staying on the property :)

I never went down until I was 33, then only for a day. Went in January, 2002 for DH's 40th birthday, loved it, went with a friend in July last year for almost two weeks, and somewhere along that time frame picked up a serious addiction. I tried checking into a hospital, but the only one I could find was in the Touchdown building at All Star Sports. :D Since January, we've been three times, due again in June, and have nothing planned after that, but Disney just approved an extension on my AP's through the fall, so hoping to go down one more time before they run out. Then onto another Disney Cruise. :D

Since we took my DD for the first time when she was almost 3 we've gone twice a year. But I would go at any chance I get! If I didn't have all my family here in GA I think my DH and I would seriously consider moving to Florida! I'm soo jealous of all you FL residents!

Even though we live 1000 miles from the mouse, we all have annual passes and get down there as often as we can. Our trips can be as short as a long, long weekend (4-5 days) to almost 3 weeks. On average, I get to WDW 3-5 trips per year, though the last couple years has presented me with mor eopportunities to visit my favorite place.
Two years ago, my daughter was going to college about an hour from WDW. I was able to combine visiting my daughter with sidetrips to WDW, sometimes for just a day trip, several times during the school year. During the summer, we have our annual 2-3 week trip to WDW. For 2003, I have been to WDW every month! 3 of my 5 trips have been week long trips. Although my daughter is no longer attending college in Florida, she is doing something even better - she is in the WDW College Program working at WDW!!! Bittersweet day today for us - today is her last day of work creating magical memories for guests. But in less than 2 weeks, we are headed back to WDW for our annual summer trip for almost 3 weeks. Then I have an October and December trip planned. I know, I know...I may as well move there! :D I'm working on it! :D |

:devil I am SOOOO JEALOUS! ;) Well, prior to this year we only went every 3-4 years but since this past trip (which was our first on site and first time eating at ANY of the character meals) I'm hooked and we plan on going at least once a year for the next few years. We are already planning 2004 & 2005 trips and maybe a Disney land/sea package for 2006! |

Getting to WDW from Maine with two EXTREMELY busy and athletic boys isnt nearly as easy as we wish. If one of the options on the poll had been "Not nearly as often as I would like" I definitely would have picked that one! :)

I'm so jealous of all of you! I'd love to go for two or three weeks it would be a dream come true. My DS is looking at going to Colby or Bowdan in Maine for college so no excuse to visit him in Florida. Guess I better get busy on trying to sell other two DS on the merits of going to college in Florida.

We have to be in AZ for a wedding so we just figured what the heck we have fly almost all the way to Calif so just keep going! The pull of The Mouse is just to strong!!!!!!!!!:)

I'm thinking probably not based on your post. It sounds like you love it. I live in Oklahoma City so obviously we can't go that frequently. I'm almost glad though because our trips to WDW take on a quest or adventure status to us. Half of the fun is just planning it and getting there. I'm not sure if that would be the case if we could just hop in the car and be there in an hour. I'm sure there a lot of other advantages to being so close that would make up for that though. Randy :) |
