For all the years I've gone to EMH I've always been inside the park to get my wristband. This year we'll be going back to a few of the parks to enjoy EMH. Is it possible to go back at the time EMH starts and get a wristband at the gate? Do they have a limited number of wristbands (so it's first come, first serve) or is every guest entitled and can get a wristband even if they show up to the park when the EMH start?

I think this changes every year. One year we got them at our resort (SSR). Another trip it was at the parks between certain hours.

It was at the parks about 2 hrs. prior to closing I think. Of course it could be different now.

It is still about 2 or 3 hours before closing when they start to distribute.
But don't worry. I've never seen them run out of wristbands. I don't know that they ever will. If you average 2 people per room and blow that number up to include 30,000 rooms, that's 60,000 people. Every single guest will not attend an EMH, so we'll set an upper number of around 30,000 people attending. That's also around the number they consider a sell out for any of the hard ticket parties at MK.
Another thing to not worry about is getting your wrist band even if you arrive after park closing. If you don't have a valid room key and ticket, you're not getting in anyway. By this time, they're usually giving you the wrist band as you go through the turnstile. If you don't get one there, go to the park's guest services counter (Town Hall, etc) and they'll have a wrist band for you there.

If you arrive at the park around 2 hours before hand you should be fine, they have a few locations set up around the parks where you can get your wristbands from, if you cant find one just ask the nearest CM! I love the EMH though I think the morning ones are the best!

We arrived about an hour after an EMH started and had no problem getting a wristband. As long as you have the room key you will get a wristband.

this may be a dumb question,.................. but does eveyone staying in the room have to have their key?? kids too?

I've never been to Evening EMH, and was wondering the same thing.

I've been to morning EMH and there aren't any bands. You just get into the park an hour early. I think we just showed our passes, not the kids. We never have tickets on our room keys.

I think they do. Once I tried getting wristbands for myself and my sister and they wouldn't let me get hers. She had to be there and I think they swiped our cards

I think I prefer the night time. I'm already awake and not trying to get up to catch 7:30 buses to be at the park by 8 like I'm rushing to work. Yes, daytime is fun too, and you do get into the parks before the bulk of the crowds. It's just too bad that it's only an hour long and over almost as soon as it's begun. One more thing about night time, more rides are open than in the morning. It's a benefit of the park already being open and the rides in operation.
You really don't have to worry about getting your wristband. When the park closes, they won't throw anyone out. You just can't ride. If it's after closing and you still haven't gotten your band, as said above, just ask a CM for direction.

You did have to show your room key, at least the adults. You just don't remember. We've got APs, so we always have to use both, AP to get into the park and room key to get into the park early. They just visually inspect the key to see if there's a current date.

I've only had to show my room key once and we have APs. When we were staying at SoG we had to go through the T&TC and they were checking for rooms keys before they would let people on the monorail.
