Can anyone tell me about this? From what I understand it now runs daily.

Anyone had their children picked to participate? My kids would be so excited to be picked. I hope there will be some pixie dust sprinkled on them and they will be picked from the crowd.


I've read that it's a good idea to arrive early if you want your children chosen, any other suggestions?

My son got picked to do this a couple of years ago and he loved it.

Arrive very early, at least 20 minutes maybe even 30 minutes. Just make sure they know it's tough to be picked, only a handful get selected for every show and the chances of both getting picked aren't good. My son didn't get picked at Christmas but he was fine with that but a couple of years ago he would have cried had he not gotten picked.

We met a mother who had spent the whole day there and he son had still not gotten picked!

Oh gosh! I know my little guy would cry too if he didn't get picked. We still haven't tried this, I think I read somewhere that its for 12 and under. Don't know if thats right or not.

I'm sure that right. My son is 9 and he looked like the oldest one there at Christmas. Some of the kids that got picked looked to be about 2-3 and didn't understand what was going on, it was sort of lost on them but it was cute.

Thanks for the info DisneyTeacher. DS is 6 and DD is 9. DS has a couple of Star Wars t-shirts, not sure if that will help as I'm sure there will be lots of kids with Star Wars merchandise.

I've already explained that they may not be picked. Last year DS was picked for the pirate training with Jack Sparrow at Pirates of the Carribean. He was the only one that got to do a sword fight with Jack Sparrow! DS was thrilled, to say the least! I've tried to explain that there were lots of other kids that weren't picked, and this time around it might not be his turn. Having said that, DS lives for Star Wars!!! It is his absolute favorite. So I know he will be disappointed if he isn't picked.

Maybe we will try out the first show and if he isn't picked we can go back for another try later in the day.

DD is 7 and DS is 4 and they both got picked at different times during our most recent trip. They both enjoyed it alot and we were there about a half hour early. And sat in the front. It is pretty awesome. They get to fight Darth Vadar and they make it funny for adults too. I have some pictures that I will be putting into my TR when I start it. When we went back after dh deleted all the pictures from our camera to try and get DS to do it again, I thought he would cry when his sister was picked and he wasn't, but he was fine and enjoyed watching it just as much as being in it.

There are set times but it's about every hour for most of the day. It starts about 45 minutes after the park opens and runs until between 4 and 6 most days.

The times for Christmas week were 9:40, 10:40, 11:40, 12:30, 1:20, 2:10, 3:45, and 4:30.

DD age 11 and Ds age 7 both got picked when we visited in January. About 12 others were picked. Neither of them really knew what to expect. It was so cool! All the kids had the opportunity to battle Darth Vadar. It was definitely a magical moment for us.

You're welcome. Check the times guide when you get to the park and try to hit an early show in case you have to try several times.

Is it possible that I will be more upset that the kids if they don't get picked? You know how you just want them to experience everything and want it to be everything they have dreamed of.

You're welcome. Be sure to check the park times guide because these times can and do change.

It is possible to be more upset than your kids. We want everything to be perfect and we don't want to see them upset.
