grad nights
We are thinking of going to WDW for a short trip April 18 to the 21st. Friday and Saturday are both Grad nights. Any comments tips or suggestions. I checked touring plans and crowds were 6 and 7.

Re: grad nights
We ended up there during a grad night a couple of years ago.
Ugh. You will hear that grad nights are after hours, yeah, but.... The kids are there all day and they are rowdy. I have young kids and I really didn't appreciate the language I heard all day and the "uncivilized" behavior that I had to witness and explain. If you are there on a grad night, just stay away from MK that day. I didn't like it, but that's just me. ![]() |

Re: grad nights
I suppose no one is too fond of the idea of a surplus of teenagers.
(Not even myself...)

Re: grad nights
Yeah... I go to high school and have to put up with that stuff everyday. That's the part I don't enjoy (besides tests and projects and the like).

Re: grad nights
Oh great, I didn't even think bout that when I was going. Whens the grad nights? I want to make sure I stay away from MK that day. My daughter mimics what she sees other people do so i don't want her to see anything questionable.

Re: grad nights
Oh-- Thanks for all the info. Maybe I will change the dates we go. I was thinking about taking just my DS. He turns 3 April 25th, so I was trying to get in one more time that I did not have to pay for him! My kids are 5 years apart and I have taken DD by herself a few times, so I think it is DS turn. Just trying do it the cheap way! Maybe we will try the weekend before that! thanks again!

But I think they have to be purchased as a group. I don't know whether it has to be a school function or if a group of teens could just decide they would like to go, but I know that an adult or sponsor of some sort has to purchase the tickets.

Re: grad nights
Well the little bit I remember of Grad Night (class of '89) we were there for the night. We did not get there until almost 9 and we had to wait in the bus until the CM's had removed the other guests which took a while to get taken care of.
We also had to dress up nice (guys in shirts, tie and jacket and women had to wear long dresses or slacks, no miniskirts or shorts) Now I hear they ccan wear whatever they want. Its a shame if it has become that crazy. Since it is the high schools that organize the event, they should enforce a dress code and keep it to a night thing where there are no other guests with families, etc.

Re: grad nights
I'm really sorry they don't have the dress code anymore. I had my Grad Night at DL, and we all had to dress up. (And we saw Glass Tiger! Oooh, Ah! Hooray for the 80s!
)I think I read that this is the last year for Grad night at MK; after this, it's switching to the Studios? Or maybe it's this year?
