Food and Wine Festival at Epcot
A lot of you MBer's rave about the Food and Wine Festival at Epcot - I'm curious about how it works, does it cost extra, is it in a special location, etc. Please share your knowledge. Thanks!

Re: Food and Wine Festival at Epcot
The festival itself is part of the park...no extra cost for attending it. They have booths set up with wine and food from all kinds of countries. The portions are mostly sample sizes and prices so you can eat all the way around the "world" and sample all kinda of neat stuff...they also have countries that aren't normally on the show case like Poland and many others. IT's a great time. I suggest going in the afternoon...not quite as busy as night time.

Make sure you plan your day for a non-busy Epcot day. Some of those lines are long.

Re: Food and Wine Festival at Epcot
It really is so much fun. Basically they set up little booths all throughout the countries. A lot of times countries that already "have countries" in Epcot will also have booths so that's fun and new as well. They usually include 3-5 sample sized portions ranging from 2-6 dollars a piece. And they offer 2-3 specialty alcoholic beverages. The food can be used as "snack" options on the DDP (which is awesome) and you can get full after like 4 booths trust me! Dave and I tried to get something from almost every booth and we shared the small portions and by the time we got to end we were full (and drunk).
It's a lot of fun, but try and go on a weekday to avoid big lines at the booths. There are also a lot of "special" things going on demonstrations and such but we didn't see any of those.

Re: Food and Wine Festival at Epcot
We also enjoy this. It is a neat way to try different foods from different countries. There are signs all along the walkway, telling you what is available. It is fun to just see something that looks yummy, and stop and grab a bite.

Re: Food and Wine Festival at Epcot
We LOVED it! We used our DDP snack options instead of cash. It was so awesome to try new things. I highly recommend going.

Re: Food and Wine Festival at Epcot
As a Dsiney nut and a chef to be, I'm embarassed to say that I have never been to Food & Wine. I've been trying to convince my wife for some time now, but she enjoys going in the late spring/early summer time. From the sounds of it I'm going to have to work her over on this one. :)
