Ticket Question
I have the opportunity to get 7-day Hoppers including water park option for $289. They expire 14 days after the first use. My question is -- is there a time limit on how long you can wait before the first use? Like, can we just hang on to them until some future trip, or are we limited to something like a year from purchase?

Re: Ticket Question
I believe like it says "expires 14 days from first day of use" so therefore if you hold it for 5 years, it should still be good. Call and ask Disney.

Re: Related Ticket Question
When you get the Water Park Option added on, it also includes Disney Quest. Therefore, does that mean you can then treat Disney Quest like any other park for those 7 days (or 4, 5,6, depending) ? So, we could hop from MGK to Disney Quest one day, and then AK to Disney Quest another, for example?
Haven't been to Disney since 2004, and I thought I remember when you bought the Water Parks, that you couldn't hop. Perhaps I just had that wrong since we never did the water parks anyway. It still may be cheaper for us just to buy the Disney Quest individually, but if you could go there multiple times throughout the week, when you had a couple of hours to kill, this would be worth looking into. Thx! Chet

Re: Ticket Question
Chet --
You only have a certain number of visits to DisneyQuest or the water parks built into your ticket, and it is based on the number of park days you buy. So you would NOT be able to visit DisneyQuest like you would the parks, popping in as often as you like... I may be way off base, but I seem to remember that last time we bought 5-day tickets with the Water Park option, we were given maybe 2 or 3 visits to water parks or DisneyQuest... something along those lines anyway.

Re: Ticket Question
I think for a seven day park hopper you have something like 4 entries into a water park or Disney Quest. I don't think you can go to the water park or DQ on all 7 days. I am sure someone else will post and clarify, but I think it is something to that effect.

Re: Ticket Question
Are the details of this written anywhere cause I haven't been able to find them spelled out? More specifically, I'm probably only looking at a 5 day pass (if not 4 day), but if I can get 2 hop in days for Disney Quest, that may be worth it. I'll have to go look at numbers anyway.
Thx all in advance. |

Re: Ticket Question
Sure. This is from the Disney Website:
Magic Your Way Tickets A Magic Your Way Base Ticket provides entry to one Theme Park a day every day of your ticket for each member of your travel party. You can select four valuable Options to customize each ticket to meet the needs and preferences of your entire travel party or its individual members: Choose the Number of Days you want tickets for, keeping in mind that the per-day price gets lower the longer you play. Your average price per day for a 7-day Magic Your Way Base Ticket is less than half the price of the same single-day ticket. It's like saving over 50%! Now you can enjoy the ultimate value: the ability to experience ALL the magic at your own pace. Add the Park Hopper® Option to your ticket to come and go through multiple Theme Parks on the same day as many times as you like. No matter where you begin your day, you can go from Park to Park to enjoy the evening Extra Magic Hours available to all Guests of Disney Resorts. Enjoy the freedom to be more spontaneous and relaxed with your daily vacation plans. Include the Water Park Fun & More Option* to add admission to other venues at the Walt Disney World® Resort: Select from two fabulous Water Parks, DisneyQuest® Indoor Interactive Theme Park, a wide variety of unique clubs at Downtown Disney® Pleasure Island, or Disney's Wide World of Sports® Complex. With so much fun to be had, you won't want to miss out on any of it – and now you won't have to. The number of admissions depends on the number of days of the ticket you purchase. Select the No Expiration Option to let the magic live forever! Our Magic Your Way Base Tickets expire 14 days from their first use. However, when you add the No Expiration Option to your ticket, you're able to come back and take advantage of unused days at any time in the future. Relax in the knowledge that any unused days will be available for your next visit. Remember, you can arrange for all the members of your travel party to have the same tickets, or for members of your travel party who may have different schedules or preferences to have individually customized tickets.

Re: Ticket Question
And this is from Mousesavers, although I didn't remember that there were this many water park visits built into the tickets. I think you did not used to get this many!
Water Park Fun & More Option - This option provides admissions to Disney’s Blizzard Beach water park, Disney’s Typhoon Lagoon water park, DisneyQuest, Downtown Disney Pleasure Island or Disney’s Wide World of Sports Complex. Extra cost on top of the base-price ticket is a flat rate of $50 ($53.25 with tax). You get a set number of admissions to the Water Park Fun & More attractions, depending on the length of the ticket you buy. When purchasing tickets with the Water Park Fun & More add-on direct from Disney as of 8/5/07, you will receive the following number of Water Park/DisneyQuest/Pleasure Island/Wide World of Sports visits per ticket: 1-day ticket 2-day ticket 3-day ticket 4-day ticket 5-day ticket 2 visits 2 visits 3 visits 4 visits 5 visits 6-day ticket 7-day ticket 8-day ticket 9-day ticket 10-day ticket 6 visits 7 visits 8 visits 9 visits 10 visits Some ticket brokers will continue to sell the old version of Water Park Fun & More at a lower price until 2008. They will be selling tickets that have the following number of Water Park/DisneyQuest/Pleasure Island/Wide World of Sports visits per ticket: 3-day ticket 4-day ticket 5-day ticket 3 visits 4 visits 4 visits 6-day ticket 7-day ticket 8-day ticket 9-day ticket 10-day ticket 5 visits 6 visits 6 visits 6 visits 6 visits In either case, as you can see, there is an incentive to buy the longer passes, so that you'll get more admissions for your money. If you will be visiting the water parks and/or DisneyQuest at least twice, this add-on is definitely a good deal. The Water Park Fun & More option can be added after the initial ticket purchase. For instance, if you buy a 7-day ticket and decide on the 5th day of your vacation that you'd like to visit the water parks, you can add Water Park Fun & More for $53.25. You'll have to use the Water Park Fun & More admissions within the original 14 days of your ticket's validity, unless you buy the No Expiration option. Such upgrades are allowed within the first 14 days (day of first use plus 13 days).

Oh geez... that Mousesavers info didn't print out very well. The columns were supposed to line up. Here is the link so you can see it how it is supposed to look! Sorry about that...

Re: Ticket Question
Thx MissDisney! I hadn't had a chance to look at mousesavers.com yet.
So, it seems like you do get a one-to-one relationship then, right? If I buy a 5 day hopper, with the extra parks option, I could then visit Disney Quest daily, if I read that correctly. Of course, if I go just twice, and do no water parks, its hardly worth the extra $58, or so. I see the individual Disney Quest tickets are now around $29 (ticketmania). Man, last time I went in 2004, I think we got them for $19. Do they still drop below $29 now and then or is that the new going price? Thx again! |

Re: Ticket Question
chetnet,
The mousesavers site clearly states that you get a 1-1 set of visits. BUT that's not how I remember it. In past trips for me, it was not that way, I am almost totally sure. I think it was more like half, but my memory is faulty sometimes. Just to be safe, before you make your decision, give a call to WDW and ask for clarification.

Re: Ticket Question - DisneyQuest Option confirmed
Okay, after a couple emails, I got total confirmation from WDW to clear up any confusion. I'm basically just going to paste the email chain below so everyone can read it for themselves. In short, you do get a 1-1 relationship on the number of ticket days you have and the number of visits to a WaterPark/DisneyQuest. You may also attend ONE of those the same day you are park hopping around MGK, AK, Studios, and Epcot.
Now I'll just have to see if the extra price is worth it since we probably won't be doing any water parks ourselves (next March). Email chain> ------------------------------- Message: (from me to WDW) My question is related to this FAQ ticket option: ------------------------------------------------ Q. Is there a ticket that will allow me to visit the Water Parks and other Walt Disney World® attractions? A. Yes. If you purchase the Water Park Fun & More Option* (formerly the Magic Plus Pack Option), you can add admission to your choice of two fabulous Water Parks, DisneyQuest® Indoor Interactive Theme Park, the wide variety of entertainment venues at Pleasure Island, or Disney's Wide World of Sports® Complex. The number of Water Park Fun & More* visits depends on the number of days in your Magic Your Way Ticket: 1 day 2 visits 2 days 2 visits 3 days 3 visits 4 days 4 visits 5 days 5 visits 6 days 6 visits 7 days 7 visits 8 days 8 visits 9 days 9 visits 10 days 10 visits ------------------------ So, if I also have the Park Hopper option with my ticket. I can essentially hop the parks and do Disney Quest every day, right? Therefore, a 4-day ticket with these options, could entail hopping between all the normal parks, as well as a nightly visit to Disney Quest for all 4 days, yes? Thanks a bunch!!! Chet ---------- Dear Chet, Thank you for contacting the Walt Disney World Resort. We appreciate your interest in the components of our MAGIC YOUR WAY ticket options! The Park Hopper Option provides the advantage of visiting more than one theme park on the same day. Enjoy hopping between our four theme parks: Magic Kingdom Park, Epcot, Disney's Hollywood Studios, and Disney's Animal Kingdom Theme Park. The Water Park Fun & More Option includes additional admissions to DISNEY'S BLIZZARD BEACH Water Park, DISNEY'S TYPHOON LAGOON Water Park, Downtown Disney Pleasure Island, DisneyQuest Indoor Interactive Theme Park and Disney's Wide World of Sports Complex (General Admission only). Admissions to these "option" areas are separate from the theme parks portion. For example, if you visit one or more theme parks on one day, the entry is validated as one admission in the theme park portion of your pass. If you choose to visit the "option" areas on the same day, entry into each "option" area will constitute the use of one admission from the "options" portion of the pass. The "options" portion does not include the "hopping" feature. If you have questions or need further assistance, feel free to contact us. Please include your full name, E-Mail address, and reservation number if applicable on all correspondence. Thank you! Chet, we look forward to seeing you soon! Sincerely, Debbie WDW Online Communications PLEASE NOTE: All information is subject to change without notice. ---------- Thank you Debbie! I think I understand, but just to be perfectly clear............ If I buy a 4-day Park Hopper with the WaterPark/DisneyQuest option ticket, I should have no problem doing this: Day 1: MGK to Epcot to Disney Quest Day 3: Disney Hollywood to Epcot to Disney Quest Day 4: Disney Quest to MGK to AK to MGK Day 6: Epcot to MGK to Disney Quest I realize I won't be able to hop in and out of Disney Quest during the same day, nor even hop from Disney Quest to a water park in the same day, as I can only visit one of those per day. True? Thanks! Chet -------------- Dear Chet, Thank you for contacting the Walt Disney World Resort. Your understanding of the Magic Your Way Tickets with park hopping and water park fun and more options is absolutely correct! If you have questions or need further assistance, feel free to contact us. Thank you! Sincerely, Mary WDW Online Communications PLEASE NOTE: All information is subject to change without notice and should be confirmed just prior to your visit. =====================================

Re: Ticket Question
So, it appears you can get
> a 4-day hopper for $263 and with a single DisneyQuest admission being > single day Disney Quest for $29 that total would be $292 But, you can get 4-day hopper WITH option for $307 total So, you could get 3 more visits for just $15! I'd say that's definitely worth it, even if we really only make it a 2nd visit. Just thought I'd post this in case others were interested.

Re: Ticket Question
I think it's worth it if you plan on going to a water park, plus DQ or some of the clubs in PI. I'm pretty sure to go to the Adventurer's Club you have to get the multiple club pass which is something like $25. We decided to get the option because I knew I was going at least once to the Adventurer's Club and once to Typhoon Lagoon.
