E-night

I am a new member to DC and have enjoyed reading all the information posted here. My wife and I are planning a "Surprise"
vacation for our two boys (9 and 7) for June 18 through the 23rd. We will be waking them up at 3:30am to tell them of the suprise. (They both LOVE Disney - almost as much as their parents). I will let you know when we get back how the surprise went over and how our vacation went. Finally to my question...I have heard +/- things regarding e-night @ MKG. I am undecided if we should do this event or pass - Is it worth the extra $$.
Thank you for your insight!

It depends on your family.

1. Will your kids want to/be able to stay up that late.
2. Only certain attractions are open, will they be entertained with the limited offerings (will they meet the height restrictions, etc.)

I went to an e-night for the first time this past March. We had a sitter watch my two-year-old because there was nothing open that would interest her (and it was to late for her). My husband and I had a fantastic time!!!! We rode Space Mountain 7 times with the longest wait being 5-10 minutes.

For us it was definitely worth the extra money.

I'm just wondering what's E-Night? I'm going on June 7th so if someone can reply quickly, I'd really appreciate it. Pudethefish, I love that scene in "Lilo and Stitch." I think Pudge does control the weather here in Jersey. It's been raining all during the month of May!! Give Pudge a different kind of sandwich please. I almost forgot what the sun looks like.

E-ride nights are nights the MK stays open an extra 2 to 3 hours for WDW resort guests who have purchased an E-Ride ticket. You can't buy a ticket until you check in to your resort. Tickets are about $12 I think.

E-Ride nights for June are the 3, 6, 10, 13, 17, 20, 24 and 27th. It looks like you could go on the 10th if you are staying a few days.

I had 2 e-nights during our trip.
The one during the week was MUCH less crowded than the one on a Friday night.
Tuesday night the rides were walk ons. Friday night we had 20-minute waits.

In late March, we experienced the exact opposite of Buzzlightyear... The Tuesday e-ride was sold out. The Friday was much less crowded... :)

Goes to show you never can tell.
Another word of warning is to check and double check and then reconfirm the starting time of the e- ride night.
What happened to us on Tuesdays e-ride night was -
We were told it started at 9. We asked at the front desk as a re-confirmation of the time we thought we already knew. Well, it started at 7 , so when we got there at 9 we only had an hour left. Of course they took care of us and gave us tickets for the Friday e-ride night.

Tragic,

I am glad everyone here were able to help you. I think your right about the weather though, up in CT it rained all weekend. Very depressing.

Take care and let me know if you have any other questions!!!

Welcome to DisneyCentral.Goofyguy2. I personally have never done the e-ride nights, but everyone here seems to think it would be great. I'm sure you'll have a great time doing it.

We did an e-ride night several years ago and really had a great time. I think it was because it was such a surprise...we didn't know anything about it until we were at the park and about to leave. We only had #1 with us (5 years old) and we loved every minute of it...I think it was like 1 in the morning by the time we got into our hotel room...You ought to experience it at least once...

ok here is a dumb question

mickey has posted the e-ride nights for august. the WDW site shows that MK stays open till 10 pm on the 8th which is one of the e-ride nights ..does this mean that the park will close at 10 and re-open ?
