Re: A tiny bit sad...

I felt the SAME way last year MissDis. I wanted to attend MVMCP when we went during Thanksgiving, we were there for 10 DAYS and there were no parties while we were there. They stopped them the whole week of Thanksgiving.

So sorry

This is good to know! My passes black out on the 21 . . . the EXACT day I was going to meet my friends from NJ! So I suggested MVMCP but same problem as MissDisney . . . sad that they are over before we arrive. So I had another solution . . . But, will this work?

Can I book for free dining . . . get two day park passes for us each . . . save them for Xmas (12/21-23) and just use the hotel and free dining and my APs in Sept? Or, do you HAVE to use the park passes with the package they were purchased with? (Does this make sense?)

Re: A tiny bit sad...

I'm so sorry you're going to miss the party. We went for the first time this past year and really enjoyed it but we didn't do or see anything that wasn't going on all week when the parks were open.

We went to the last party last year on December 21st so they're ending it a little earlier next year.

Re: A tiny bit sad...

With the hot chocolate, you're not missing much anyway. It's that tongue scalding Nestle's water and cocoa mix. It's not bad stuff if you can cut it with milk or coffee cream, plus adding cool liquids will make your cup less tongue scalding.
I'm sorry the schedule doesn't work for you. I seem to recall that even this past season, they ran the parties right up to the 20th or 22nd. They must have figures that show the crowds will start arriving earlier this year.
You'll get to see the Christmas parade, Christmas castle show, and Holiday Wishes at least.

Sounds as if I can manage it with EMH and rope-drop whenever possible... glad to hear everything will be happening anyway! The parade, the show, the SNOW! (Can you imagine that I want to leave New England to go see snow in Florida!)

Christmas week has always been a packed time and they just add a hard ticket event a couple of times a week prior to it to keep those figures up. The party for the slower times is the same as the busy times. Parade, fireworks, decorations and atmosphere are identical.

What is the MNSSHP?

It snows as the park is re-opening for the Christmas party. Very lovely indeed.

Yes, I remember that. It is so beautiful! When that began to happen, it's probably one of my most cheirshed Disney moments. It just had the ideal surprise element that Disney is all about, something so small but that can make your day! ^.^

Yes, I still have tickets from when we've booked w/Free dining because we always have a seasonal pass. I'll use them toward my pass renewal (or in a blackout period) one day.
