Well, I did promise to update when I finally made up my mind.
By the way, "America's Roller Coast"? Would that be Sandusky?

First time here. Any tips for taking a 2 year old? We want to see the parade and fireworks, but I am scared most of the night will be gone afterward and she will be pushing it to stay up any later than 10 or so.

We are going on September 12 btw.

Yes, I live very close to Sandusky, so close I have been a season pass holder for years. I live on the Lake Erie shoreline (America's Roller Coast

) and I wish I could say that on a clear day I can see the coasters, but alas, the coast line dips too far south and all I can see are trees in the distance.

It is awesome...
in the summer anyway.

I would be much happier to be where you are in the winter.

This will be my first time going as well. You should start a thread with your questions. Mousebuzzers will be able to see them easier and they will come from far and wide to answer.

Yowza! My suggestion would be to bring her a REAL comfy stroller, so she can fall asleep there and you can stay and see the good stuff.

Seriously, the parade and fireworks are fabulous! I was VERY impressed with both of them.

Thanks. I have been on the boards since 2002. I was even a Moderator for Mickey at VMKingdom back when it was an active site. I was just latching on a question pertaining to your topic. I may start a seperate thread with several more questions once the date grows closer though.

Updates Updated!

I had to change my date from Sept. 26 to Sept. 23. DH found out that Henry Rollins was going to be at the House of Blues on Friday and really wanted to fit that in. Oh well!

Our DD was 2.5 when we took her in 2006 and she had a blast. She loved the fireworks, but crashed not long after that, so we had her in the stroller and we enjoyed the second parade. I would also say not to plan to do much of anything that day. We stayed at the resort for the day, but took DD swimming in the afternoon and that did wear her out a little too much. I would make sure she gets a good, long nap and get to the Magic Kingdom about 4. I hope you have a great time!

hehe, thank you! I cannot remember for the life of me how old I was during this picture. Judging from my appearance though I'd say 6-7 years old. Probably my 2nd trip to WDW ever.
