Re: Costums @ MNSSHP

I am hoping to make costums for all of us as pirates. I really love "POC" & so does my son.

Re: Costums @ MNSSHP

I was lilo, DH was mr incredible, DD7 was mulan and DD4 was belle. when making your costumes, just rememeber it still can be hot in october, so be sure it's something not too hot. also, be sure you can easily ride rides while in the costume -i had to remove part of my costume to ride, kinda a pain. also, be sure to either bring a bag to put the costumes in if the kids (and you) decide to take them off, or utilze the lockers (i believe i heard they are free during mnsshp)! have fun - it is such a great night!!!

Re: Costums @ MNSSHP

We received our tickets to the party for Sept 23/08. I'm soo excited. Now if only the flight prices would come down. I absolutely refuse to pay 700 to 800 per person! That's crazy!

Thanks for this tip, I think I was too excited about the idea of going that this heat factor wouldn't have entered the planning till it was too late.

Re: Costums @ MNSSHP

OK, just to be absolutely sure, my DBF was reading the letter that came with the tickets & it said that "children are encouraged to dress in costums", so is it for sure that we all can dress up & not feel out of place? I really don't know if I'll get DBF to do much more than put on a hat, but I would like to go all out. Thanks so much.

When we were there last year, many "BIG KIDS" (adults) were in costume. I do not think you would be out of place at all. We are up in the air if we are going to get dressed up this year.

Re: Costums @ MNSSHP

Thanks for the reply. Can you tell me: Will we need to bring something to put candy in for when we trick or treat or will we just be getting small amounts of things that we eat right there? It might sound like a silly question but I just don't like being unprepared.Oh, also, can you tell me why you may not dress up? Is it more of a hassel than it's worth??

Re: Costums @ MNSSHP

They have bags that they will give you to go trick or treating. You can acquire a fair amount of candy. We gave ours to a friend of ours who was with us. She is a nurse in Fl, and we gave it to her to bring to work. As far as the dress up, luggage is going to be tight, and not sure if it will be worth our while. We are looking at going as Mousketeers as a back up plan, which would not require any real space. Some people really go all out though. It is a fun thing to see.

Re: Costums @ MNSSHP

OK, so now DBF says he's worried that if try & dress up as Disney characters, it won't be allowed. I was really leaning towards "pirates", but a princess costume is not out of the question either. So, can I enter dressed up as, for example, snow white?? I know this is a "no-no" on regular, non-halloween party days.

Re: Costums @ MNSSHP

I want us all to dress up to I just haven't decided on what. I noticed that alot of sites have referees costumes, my husband is a actual referee so to save money I thought I might dress up as a referee, my DS wants to be a pro skate boarder but, they have regular clothes on so no one would be able to tell that he is even dressed up, does anyone have any suggestions, I know they will not allow skate boards in the park.
