This is what it says on Allears:

Quote:
For those who have been there in the past, we all know EVERYONE is welcome to dress up in costume & trick-or-treat throughout the park. Costumes must be in good form so nothing too scary or gruesome and you can't wear a costume that features a mascot head (a mask that has complete cranium coverage so no one can see your head). This is so no one can be confused with the entertainment at the party. Otherwise, children and adults are all more than welcome to dress up in costume and trick-or-treat throughout the park.
And BTW, they let DS in with this, so they're not too picky:

Re: Costums @ MNSSHP

There was a grown man (kind of a larger-ish guy) dressed as Pooh one year - full fuzzy costume. His wife was Tigger and thier little teeny daughter was Tink. Very cute.

They do allow Disney Characters at MNSSHP on adults but for obvious reasons not during regular park hours.

Why yes, yes they did! Chase's alter ego followed him the whole evening.

Thanks! This year we are each dressing up like a holiday. I can't wait!
....However, DS could be Elvis every year and I would be perfectly ok with that!

Re: Costums @ MNSSHP

We went in 2006 and our family all dressed as different Disney characters...my husband was Prince Charming, I was Minnie Mouse, my DD9 was Tink and my DS7 was Stitch. We thought we looked adorable, and the CM at Space Mountain even showed us the secret back way to ride SM a second time without waiting in line, they said we were so cute!

However, when we got the Photopass pictures...my goodness, my Minnie Mouse shoes and bow on my head made me look GIANT, about 4 inches taller than my DH...I looked like AMAZON MOUSE and he like the little prince in Shrek!!!!

We are going again this Sept (it was SO MUCH FUN!) but I am wearing flats and my DH is wearing Boots!

The kids, of course, looked Awesome...wish I had some pictures, but they are all on a computer that does not work anymore!!

Thinking of matching costumes this year, maybe a family of pirates?

Have fun!

Re: Costums @ MNSSHP

We've gone the last 4 years (hopping to go again this year!) and some of the costumes are FANTASTIC . . . one year there was a couple dressed as Beauty and the Beast, and I swear they were better then the characters you see in the parks! Everyone was staring at them!!

There is always a family dresses as the Incredibles or pirates, etc! I've seen masks being worn and kids carrying swords (no guns)!

You can bring your own treat bag or they will give you one, but they are small and the CMS give out HANDFULS of candy at a time, not one or two pieces. AND, at the end of the night while exiting, whoever the sponsor is (last year Hershey so it was kissables) There are FULL SIZE bags of candy in the carts that Mousekeeping use for towels . . . and they LOAD YOU UP!! I think I still have a few bags from last year!!

It's a party to not be missed . . . but do keep in mind the FL heat . . . it can go either way . . . I've been when we were freezing, we needed light jackets, one year it was so hot and humid you couldn't breathe . . . and then last year the weather was practically perfect! Each time we go we have a BLAST!!!

Also, effective Feb 08 . . . strollers and lockers are no longer FREE during these parties . . .

ENJOY!!!

YES!!! Keep this in mind! It was so hot that DD's makeup started to sweat away. She was miserable , so we ended up taking it all off. About a week before you go check the weather forcast. This will give you time to alter your costume.

Re: Costums @ MNSSHP

Thanks again for these last couple of posts. I will be able to show DBF these & really convince him that it's OK to dress up as Disney characters. This is exactly what I needed.
