I was told it's not so much the ride is "breaking down" it's that the imagineers are getting feedback and changing things! Anyway, that's what the CM who was directing us in line told me!!

I hope that they do a soft opening before you have to leave. It was awesome. I am sure it happens with all the new rides, it is just dissapointing when you came all this way and were hoping to get to ride, and then you can't.

Everyone is getting to ride it because weeks before a major attraction officially opens, it has so many people ride through to test it out, see it in action. When it's not officially open, they're free to close the ride at any time in order to fix some things, work on whatever, etc. When it officially opens, it'll remain open for the entire day. Really unbelievable ride. Hope you get your chance.

We tried again today because the CM at the RnR entrance told us that it was open to CMs this morning and then passholders this evening. But it was still closed and they were having issues with the safety settings going off. However when we were standing at one mans dream asking such questions we were "encouraged" to go into it....strongly encouraged.... because a dream team was inside the door! That was worth missing Toy Story... I can do that any trip!

Crossing fingers that you get on that ride. I can't imagine why it keeps breaking like that...blame it on the newness and them working out the kinks..

I posted a new thread on this hoping that woohoo sees it or maybe someone that has her number can call her BUT, I talked to the Dream Team today and they told me that Toy Story Mania opens TOMORROW!

They had just given a family a dream to be the first "OFFICIAL" family to ride the new ride. They were at EPCOT when they picked a family for the new ride.

We've been on the ride 2 time (May 10 th and May 12th. It was REALLY cool. We'be been told that the soft opening is May 15th!! So we hope to go again!!!!! It is really fun!!!! can't wait to compare scores with everyone!!!!!!!

Everytime we go down, Rock and Rollercoaster goes down. I hope they get the kinks out quickly.
