OMG

we are down to 30 days!!! AHHHHHHHHHHHHH

I have soooo much to do and soooo much going this month it is hard to get excited!!!!
I have to get thru a family member's surgery, 3 basketball tournaments, field day, end of school stuff, graduations, and 4 birthday's!!!!!!!!!!!!

I hope I actually get time to pack!!!! I want to be excited but I have sooo much going it is hard to see past all of it!!!

It kinda takes away from it all!!!

Any uplifting words from fellow MBers to get me excited again???

I know its hard to think about your trip with everything you have going on, believe me, I've been there myself!

What I usually do is look at our photo albums, go online and look at the different resort pictures, that sort of thing. That usually gets me going!

I'm right there with you. My DS and DD both have birthday's in May and we're having about thirty people over for dinner, so I've been cleaning like a crazy person trying to get the house ready. My two year old niece had a scare with MRSA. My little sister had a breast cancer scare and had to go in for tests that had us scared to death, but thank goodness everything came out fine.

So many things are going on right now. Knowing my Disney trip is just 34 days away is the only thing keeping me sane. I can't wait to just relax and have some fun.

I guess there are two ways to look at your situation. I can see how you may see this as a problem but I actually see it as a blessing

How, you may ask?....

Whenever I am going on vacation I feel like the time passes too slowly and I over think/plan/obsess on the vacation b/c I have nothing else to do.

When I went to Vegas last year for my dads wedding, I only had a months notice and I had A TON of stuff planned. The next thing I knew, I was leaving for Vegas!

So my advice is, enjoy the birthdays and tournements (not so much the surgery, I am sending pixie dust your way) then before you know it you will be parting with my pal Mickey!

I'm in the same boat here! I'm trying to take it day by day. For me, making a "to do" list helps. I put everything in a calendar and get my things done on the days that I scheduled (including events). I try not to think about everything all at once, because I get overwhelmed, and it starts to make me nuts.

I also take frequent breaks to come and check out this site, it keeps me excited for the trip, and ultimate goal!!

Big (((HUGS))) coming your way, and I hope everything goes smoothly for you and the next month flys by!

It'll be here in no time with all the stuff you have going on, my goodness!
I usually find that pulling out the suitcases and making my packing list gets me excited.

I'm less than 12 days or so from my trip and I'm having a very hard time getting excited - mostly due to my fear of flying though and being on that plane for 7.5 hours.
I'm spending my time planning out my DVC points for the next few years instead! lol

I'm right there with you. I love going in May but it's such a busy time for us too. I'm trying to wrap the school year up (which includes a Six Flags trip and planning a graduation), throw a birthday party for my son, and get ready for this trip. However, once we board the plane all that stress is gone and we'll have a great time.

Have a cup of tea. Don't make yourself nuts. I think goodegirl's way is perfect. Make a list on your calendar and only do those things that are marked on the calendar. Don't even look at the other days. You can pack in 3 hours and you know it

I'm with you too! I have been making SOOOOOOOOOOO many lists! I have my lists of "must-do's before vacation" at work, one at home, I have my packing lists. I've been adding to them for the past couple months as I think about them and over the last week at work I've got a couple of yucky filing projects out of the way (got one more to do tho...)

Even though I'm only gone from work for like 10 days, I always try to catch up on EVERYTHING before vacation. I feel like the vacation is my prize for completing all those outstanding tasks and knowing all my work is done I can have a better vacation (yah...I'm weird like that, lol!)

With all the MBers going that week we REALLY need to have a mini-meet-n-greet!
