Toy Story Mania - Disney's Hollywood Studios
I had this from Allears today "Toy Story Mania will officially open to the public at Disney's Hollywood Studios on May 31, 2008. Its west coast counterpart will open at Disney's California Adventure on June 17, 2008".

We got a chance to "preview" Toy Story Mania on May 10th and again on May 12th - using our Annual Passes. We stopped back on May 19th, and it was open to the public (but not announced or anything....there was hardly any line - people didn't know it was open). We went back yesterday May 20th, and it was not running. They are calling it a "soft" opening - and the ride can be open at any time. The official open will occur on May 31st.
The ride is AWESOME! And tons of fun - very addicting!! I hope you all get a chance to ride it soon!! We need to start a thread with top scores or something.

Maybe we need a list of definitions. CM Preview - Rowdy gets to ride. AP/DVC Preview - You may get to ride - You may not. Soft Opening - The ride may be open - then again it may not. "Official Opening" - The date that Rowdy gave you in the first place. Thanks Rowdy!

I got to ride it 8 times over the weekend. 7 of them on saturday night because there was absolutely nobody around. A few pictures of it on my TR.

Some friends just got back, and they got to ride during the soft opening. They loved it! My little DD played with their little DS yesterday, and when I picked her up, that's ALL he talked about. They even did PPP, and he ONLY talked about the "Toy Stowy Wide."
